MLB player becomes a vegetarian.I consider the writer's tone in the article to be condescending, but I really like that this guy took a stand after learning of the horrors of factory farming and isn't embarassed to discuss it. I think the more people in the public eye that do that, the more people start changing their stereotypical view of veg*ns ( Read more... )

vegetarian diets are ridiculous. how do you have a side item as an entree. i have seen what goes on in a slaughter house and guess what, bring me a big fat juicy ribeye!!!! medium rare, cause ya gotta have the blood!!! the blood makes it good, and gives you something to dip your bread in! I LOVE MEAT, RED MEAT RAW RED MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MEAT ITS WHATS FOR DINNER@MYHOUSE!!!!!!!IF YOU DONT LIKE IT YOU BETTER NOT SHOW UP @ MY DOORSTEP!!!!!!

Umm... jesus. ze's really selling the idea that meat = good for you, eh? If that's what happens when you eat meat, then thank goodness I don't.

and I really love this gem Anyway, I'll give him three more weeks. Or until his first broken arm because of a lack of protein.

So... lack of protein causes your arms to break? Do they have ANY idea of how the human body works? Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

I am now imagining a veg*n walking down the street, when suddenly there's this loud *CRUNCH* sound. They look down at their arm and sigh: it's sudddenly sticking out at a very weird angle. "Not again!" they mutter, before taking themselves off to the nearest hospital.

Another spontaneous arm breakage due to lack of protein!

But seriously, I, too, am a strict vegetarian. I eat no meat whatsoever. Except I do eat white meat chicken. I don't consider that 'meat'. I will occasionally have a steak, if it's a good cut (such as Filet at Ruth's Chris). I also sometimes have beef or pork ribs, but not too often. Very rarely, I also will have a hamburger, but only if at a cookout. Apart from these exceptions, I find my vegetarian diet very satisfying.

I wonder if this is serious? Haha.

I'm a vegetarian when I eat my breakfast. Except I put sausage in my oatmeal. And I always order my pizza with no meat on it. But they do put anchovies on it. They're not animals. I love being a vegetarian!!
