Ok I have here a somewhat inconsequential dilemma, but I'm going to present it anyway, because, well, I, um, love you all and highly value your help and possible expertise?

Yes, of course. That's it.

yeah, I'd check with the company first. Failing that (or if the results come out negative), I'd try returning it to the store for a refund. That probably won't work since you opened the bottle, but it's more proactive than using the pills or giving them to someone else.

The next best thing, if you know someone who would buy the gelatin version anyway, is to give or sell it to them. Failing that, I would just use them anyway. The damage has already been done, the best you can do is alleviate the guilt a little by complaining about the mislabeling of the product, and it doesn't help anything to let them go to waste. Plus, I doubt you're likely to experience adverse physical reactions to gelatin, at least if you can rationalize yourself out of the psychological ones.

This is, of course, just my own take and one idea for prioritizing your actions.

You could also email bodybuilding.com and explain your dilemma and ask if it would be possible to return the supplements if it does turn out that they're not vegan. They may well be interested to know that the company's own product listing doesn't seem to tally with the information they have, which may be down to a clerical error on their part or on the part of the supplement company. Either way, it's a heads up to them.

I'm still waiting to hear back from them on a question I had a few months ago.

Ah, I see what you mean. Do they not have a phone number available, or are they one of those email-only companies?

try this tincture called "deep sleep" it's got valerian and passion flower in it, and it really works for me when i am having trouble falling asleep.

you might also want to ask vgnwtch to point to her posts on lightboxes. she used to not be able to sleep to the point of her personality completely changing, and now all she uses is a lightbox, and she feels tons better. (better than having to rely on pills and stuff) also, valerian is addictive too.

I also use 0.25mg melatonin every evening (and have for about 2 years) about 3 hours before bed and have a strict sleep schedule.
