Ewwwww! I just came into a huge bunch of pea(?),lentil, and small red bean sprouts and I really didn't like them. Do any of you have any recipes for them that you like?

Was it the raw taste you didn't like or the texture? I like sprouts in salad but if you don't like the taste/texture that won't help you much.

I had it in salad, but the ratio was more sprouts than anything else. Am I supposed to rinse them first? They almost had a soap taste to them. I like the texture; crunchy stuff is great. I almost wondered about making a mayonnaise-based salad sandwich with them...

I believe you should always rinse your sprouts.

I didn't realize for a long time that all the different sprouts have way different flavors. I kept picking up Broccoli sprouts which were waaay bitter. I started trying different kinds and found out they all weren't like that.

I usually just use sprouts on sandwiches! I don't always like lettuce, so it makes a good substitute for something green.

you can quickly pan sear them in some oil with a little seasoning to calm the "bitter" fresh flavor. then add them to your salad or sandwich.

peas and lentils = samosas! everything's better when encased in dough!

Yeah, I figured I'd love them since I love crunchy stuff as well as bean sprouts and alfalfa sprouts, but I'm pretty sure I've been disproved thus far.
