Cooking a Tofurkey

I'm sorry if this was mentioned before.  I remember seeing it somewhere but for the life of me I can't find it in the memories.  I'm making tofurkey on Thursday and was just curious how everyone prepares theirs.  I thought I saw a post somewhere that someone cooks it in the crock pot??  This is my ideal, since I LOVE crock pot dinners, so if that ( Read more... )

tags, schmags.

i roast mine, with a marinade of orange juice and soy sauce with potatos, whatever spices i'm in the mood for and an onion.

its the marinade the box had when i first started making them, ha.

my fried uses cider instead of the orange juice and swears by it.

I love the soy sauce/orange juice/brown sugar marinade. I make much, much more than the recipe calls for and the potatoes and carrots soak up all that flavor. Then I can make gravy out of the extra liquid.

oh good-- now i don't have to retype my tofurky method, and instead i can whine about the fact that one of my posts that was similar to another post from over a year ago wasn't approved because i couldn't find the appropriate tag that would have given me the answers.

I just used the directions on the box, and it was very yummy.
I also used the baste that was made up of oil, basil, and something else.
