Pancake help

I've checked through the memories here as well as various recipes for making vegan pancakes (How it All Vegan and Egg Replacer), but I can never get them to turn out right... unless they're all supposed to have gooey insides and have gross textures. When I wasn't vegan, I never had problems making pancakes right. Hopefully there's a way to make ( Read more... )

I've tried the pancake recipe on the side of the Egg Replacer box and the centres still aren't cooked right. I think I've been making some errors that I didn't use to make.

I made this by accident but they were good. I mixed about a cup of bisquick with maybe 1/3 cup of oatmeal. mixed in water until it was the right consistancy, then added a little bit of maple syrup. cook in a "buttered" pan and voila!

i've given up on making my own mix too cuz the pancakes have always come out flat and leathery. i've had much success using vegan substitutions (i.e. soymilk & egg replacer) with aunt jemima's original "add egg and milk" mix though.

glad I'm not the only one.

I'll try a mix one last time (with everyone's suggestions). If all else fails, moving onto the Bisquick/Jemima.
