Soy Chicken, TVP, and Soy Cheese

How come at whole foods, I can never find Morningstar brand fake chicken? Ive heard about the "Chickettes" and strips, and what not, and Id like to use them for chicken cheesesteaks and things. What section would they be in ( Read more... )

substitutes-dairy-cheese, -where do they sell this stuff?, tvp (textured vegetable protein), -convenience foods/packaged foods

Some of the Morning Star Farms foods don't fall under the guidelines for Whole Foods and what they carry. You can ask at Whole Foods, but if they don't carry them, I'd be willing to bet you could probably find them in another market in your area. I've seen the strips at my local market, along with another brand (Yves maybe? I can't remember).

Morningstar Farms is carried by nearly every supermarket and food store I can think of. Even the liquor store by my dorm has Morningstar Chik'n strips. I bet if you looked at any major supermarket chain you'd find them...

the liquor store? wow that's nuts! It definitely varies by area, even here in Atlanta on how easy it is to get such things.

the morningstar strips should definately be in stop and shop, in the organic section =)
and i second (third?) the follow your heart cheese, it is awesome in anything.
