Thank you, especially for the comment about the delicacy. I didn't want to push them too far at this point in the season (or story, whatever). And for the comment about hte hotness--because you know, that's an achievement, given that there's no actual touching here.
"I've become a rather untrusting person," he says. "One does, in my position."
Just wanted to say, I could hear his voice in those words. Excellent stuff.
I don't know why I'm not writing S3 Sarkney, other than being halfway through a Due South story. Succession really has me thinking this is going to be a good season. Maybe I just need to watch a couple more episodes before I can get a better grasp on what might be going on. Right now, I have ideas but they won't quite coalesce.
Thank you. I'm always relieved to know that my Sark sounds like Sark.

Well, being halfway through another story in another fandom seems like a good reason not to be writing Sarkney. And I can see waiting to see what happens next--I kept wondering if I should do that, but I think if I did I'd never write anything until the end of November. And I can handle short pieces like this without getting too freaked out about canon issues.
Liked it? Try fucking adored it! This is exactly how I want my Sark- all business, faint humor, but for damn sure *not* a good guy. And Syd with the tank top just gets me. I'm not really sure why. Something about vulnerablility and realism I think.

You and me both, believe me. What I like about Sark is that he sees the humor in everything, and he isn't sorry for anything. (That's a bit of a caricature, granted--but he does seem to maintain a certain ironic distance.)

Heh heh! Loved it - loved its humour, especially. This is the other Sarkney of my dreams - the first would be the dark and angsty one. More, please.

I foresee a Sarkney-rich season, don't you? I know I'll be writing more of it, and everyone else seems to be doing the same.
