Awesome! It's so great to have these all listed in one place! Man, there is so much to look forward to.

Curious though, since you incuded bottom_draco as "not HD only, but a lot of HD", would it make sense to include the dracomalfoy kinks and tropes birthday party? That produced 20 fics, of which 14 were HD.

It's not a big deal, as bottomdraco will be a much bigger fest, with longer fics written over a longer period of time, so I can see why that should be included, for sure :)

I try to keep the list manageable and NOT include comment fests. Other than that, I totally would have included the Draco Malfoy Birthday Party. :)

I may have to change that private policy, though, as fandom is moving away from big fests to other forms of creative celebrations. At least it seems to me that fandom is doing this.

Actually, I do think it's a good policy. The question of how to categorize fests interests me a lot. The way fests are run varies greatly, though there are some constants. Some of the parameters that I've been noticing are ( ... )

Oh, I meant to comment about whether fandom is moving away from big fests...I'm not sure. I've been keeping data on this, but it's still incomplete (I'm *still* working on getting masterlist counts and complete data for my chart of HD fests - it's an ongoing project!)

But just as impressions go, I'm not aware of any HD comment fests so far this year (though I could certainly have missed them). What it seems like to me is a lot of more and more narrowly focused fests, like hd-eighthyear and hd-hurtfest which is maybe seducing some authors away from the historically major HD fests?
