shaking my confidence daily

I am in mourning (so, so sad - please sniff slightly for me). My fellow sparkly music lover has moved jobs and I am anticipating that the new workmate will not be as appreciative of me playing 'Up Against The Wall' at full volume. Or indeed any of Timberlake/Chasez/*NSync oevre.

The rest of the School will probably heave giant sighs of relief. My ( Read more... )

Ooooh. Very good question. Does it have to be pop? I can it be from any genre?

On the Outside by Sheryl Crow is my definitive sad and bitter Timbertrick song.

Thanks - sad and bitter is always amusing.

Which album is it from?

Well, you know, I'm not that much of a Sheryl Crow fan. I only know that song because it's on an X-Files soundtrack, Songs in the Key of X.

*giggles at fellow nerd*

That'd explain why iTunes doesn't have it.

Ooh, cool. I have a few of these, although a couple are JC songs, and couple are more personal story-inspiration then generic pairing songs.

{culls shamelassly from old posts}

- I'm afraid this defeats the whole object of the exercise, but JC's Dear Goodbye is *the* Nsync break-up song. It does need to be listened to in conjuction with Robbie Williams's Sexed Up, which remains the greatest boyband breakup song of all time, so you can use that one instead by proxy.

- And again sticking with JC, Right Here By Your Side is the generic Nsync shipper song which works for any pairing.

- Atomic Kitten's It's Okay makes me think 'angsty Timbertrick!' every time I hear it on the radio. Sometimes I even sniffle a bit.

- The Pogues A Fairytale of New York inspired me to write 'Out For Christmas Day', and so always makes me think of JoLa even though the lyrics really have nothing JoLa-ish about them whatsoever.

- U2's Sometimes You Can't Make It On You Own always makes me think of post-Apocalypse!Chris ( ... )

I totally have Dear Goodbye on my slit my wrists TrickC mix.

And of COURSE 'Sexed Up' needs to go on there (boy I love me some Robbie).

Cool question, and of course I now have to think. Which I shall do so now after tabbing this. Otherwise I'll be sitting looking at this entry for hours *g*

You mean you don't long to sit looking at my posts for hours? *sobs*

I have to say that playing my entire music collection looking for good shippy songs while "working" has made time not go like a three legged turtle with gout go slightly faster.

Like Terri, I am going to give this some DEEP and PONDEROUS thought, but it's a damned fine excuse to waste my entire morning a very interesting question.

I had this lengthy playlist when I wrote my first TrickyFish story, but I stupidly managed to lose the CD I burned it to, something which I regret regularly and frequently. It was a pretty hodge podgy mix, but it worked. Well, if you consider taking six months to write a story WORKING, that is. :)

DEEP & PONDEROUS. Yep. That's what I think of when I think of you.

And if your first TrickyFish story was Something More then the mix worked (and I'm really interested in what was on it).

I am DEEP like a THROAT! And PONDEROUS like a saggy breast. Oh, wait. That's pendulous. AHAHAHAHA. I am not particularly pendulous (except when hanging myself on STUPENDOUSLY BAD jokes ( ... )

Dude. That pun? Up there with my dad. *is impressed*

Oh that's an excellent excellent mix. I Wanna Be Sedated... so Chris! Unfortunately I have nothing fun or intelligent to say because alcohol stole my brain.

BUT. I know that Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (who are fab and funny) do a cover of The Longest Time. Which, when I'm not drunk and having my pulse beat in my feet from dancing like a mad thing, I will try and look out for you, if you think that's the cover.
