I would really, really, really prefer not moving. I cannot stress enough how much I'd prefer not moving. I'd at least like to wait a few weeks before a decision is made? Everything just seems rushed lately. Kind of depressing.

That said, if we do move, I'm hoping we go to Insanejournal. I can't say I like DW, no matter how user-friendly it is. Especially with most of my plurkline (over 140 people) pushing for it... It's just annoying me now, and I'll follow the game to any site but DW.

I'll suggest Scribbld as an option too, which has a cleaner and fresher look than IJ, and provides 50 icons to start.

I'm up for a move. I'd like to sit and wait and see what LJ does, first, but yes.

That said, I am not comfortable with InsaneJournal. The "insanity" motif feels immature, juvenile, and like I'm in middle school again where all my crappy OCs have multiple personalities. And, of course, beyond that, I have experience with hospitals specializing in the mental health field and that makes it just a bonus awkward. It's just uncomfortable the way insanity is handled as its theme. There's a way to remove Tweak, and I do have that enabled, but I'm still not very fond of the communities being labelled "asylums".

On the other hand, I'm already settling into DreamWidth, as I'm starting my own game. I'd be ready for a DW move, but if LJ gets its act together I'd be happy to stay here, too.

Pretty much without a paid account and using the work arounds that are only going to be temporarily functional from what I've heard, I won't be able to play in Vatheon on a regular basis. I use my mobile most of the time to roleplay, and LJ is murder to it ( ... )

Due to the better-looking interface and the less juvenile/offensive gimmick, I would much, much prefer DreamWidth over Insanejournal. The fact you can import journals and--soon--entire communities is reason enough to prefer it over the others. I also appreciate that, from what I have seen, their customer service is far superior to that of LJ. Both the importing and the superior service negates the default 100 icons--especially since DreamWidth is obviously gearing up to accept the angry LJ userbase meaning they'll be able to handle the additional number of users better, while InsaneJournal and Scribbled are not. This also means the free additional icons would likely be cut down, too, because, after all, they can afford the additional number of icons and whatnot due to having much smaller userbases.

That said, I suggest waiting two or three weeks to see if LJ goes back or whatever they implement is good enough to function as it had before. Otherwise, if things are then as they are now, I would vote to move to DreamWidth.

In my current state I would truly prefer to say "fuck it" and turn my back on RP altogether. However, that is because real life is being a bitch and LJ doing all of this to us is just adding insult to injury.

Logically, I say it is best to wait and see what LJ will do in the near future and, should it become too much, I would say prepare the rocket-snail and head on over to dreamwidth. ...Yes, even with my wish to have the 100 free icons of insanejournal.
