[ Aziraphale had been enjoying the slightly more comfortable air as the curses of the last few days finished up and he finally stepped outside, daring to explore - his fears of bursting into song again were still fresh. Still, he quite fancied a walk and he felt a lot better after wandering around a little. When he came across a young girl, he paused - and that was when she asked him for help. He smiled at her and nodded; how could he refuse? ]
[ Good, she hadn't disturbed someone who was in a rush. Not wishing to waste any more of his time than she already would, she tried to find a way to explain her situation both quickly and clearly.
Not that she could be 'quick' over this topic. ]
I arrived to this city only last night, so please excuse if my words sound ridiculous-- but it seems the way out is hard to find. Would this be true, or is it usual for one to find themselves here without a challenge awaiting them?
[ He can't deny that he feels a little guilty about being the one who has to share this news, but he does keep the smile on his face. ]
Unfortunately, it is rather normal to wake here - and, as far as we're aware, there is currently no exit. [ A small pause as he thinks. ] So far the only challenges we have faced are the curses, and they just take a little getting used to.
[ As she thought, minus the curses part, though that in itself would be a challenge, wouldn't it? ]
Ah... I knew it wouldn't be so simple. [ That left something on her mind though, and she paused a second before speaking again. ]
Then would you know if the intentions of this place is for... [ What had he said? ] 'The curses'? For all the trouble in being abducted, I've been left quite in the dark over why.
Ichirin almost missed Shou completely; had it not been for her question, she would have walked right past her. But she happened to hear a familiar voice and looked over her shoulder, almost certain her ears were deceiving her.
When she saw Shou, she was understandably surprised. She had been certain it was just her, Captain Murasa, and Byakuren, but...
When Shou caught the sound of her name in her ears, her head turned on its own towards the direction that she believed the voice to come on. Once, twice, and it was then that she saw the familiar figure of Ichirin, and she gave a small "ah!" in welcoming surprise.
To the person she had disturbed from their walking, an apology was given and Shou excused herself, allowing them to continue on with whatever they had to do as she approached towards Ichirin Kumoi.
"It's good to see a face I know," Shou nodded her head in greeting, but her eyes flickered up to the sight-- or missing sight-- around the other. "You are alone?"
"Unzan is not with me," Ichirin replied, her face tightening for a moment. "But Ane-san and Captain Murasa are both here, so to say I'm completely alone isn't entirely right. And of course, you're here now too..."
"No, she isn't." With a hand, Shou signalled to the side of her with a wave, showing she was in no extra company than Ichirin's. "And hasn't been since my arrival.
"But as I didn't know that you," she continued, putting her hand back to her side as she spoke. "Hijiri, and Captain Murasa were also here, Nazrin could be in another part of this city."
[ And you have found yourself in the presence of a small human child and his... ah, 'sister' who is totally NOT a demonic puppet, what are you talking about. The child has a purple fairy bobbing overhead, so he's obviously also a foreigner. ]
I have a question or two... [ Shou's giving that sister and fairy of his a look over as she speaks, definitely taking a second longer on those claws. ] ...if you have the time? I will try to not keep you, but I won't stop you if you and your company have elsewhere to be.
An inquiry, then? It's perfectly fine; it wasn't as though I was doing anything of vital importance, after all.
[ He was working on something, but it could wait, after all. ]
All we have here is time, so it wouldn't be very gentlemanly of me to say no, would it? If I might be able to inquire, you don't happen to be new, do you? If that's the case, I might be able to provide some assistance, since I was brought here like you.
So to speak. I'm in need of information, for it seems I've been brought here with a purpose that hasn't been told to me. Or so I believe, as I was left with this symbol...
[ Pulling out the StarFish Communicator from thin air. ] I did try asking another what it was, but they misunderstood and told me it was mine to keep. Would you happen to know what it is?
[He walks closer, hands stuffed into his pockets as he gives a shrug.] They haven't told any of us why "exactly" we're here for. I figure it's something to do with the barrier above our heads.
As for that though, [A point to the SFC.] That's to communicate with other people who are foreigners. You can tell who they are because of these marks on their body.
[He lifts up his shirt to show where his mark is. On his chest, over his heart before pulling it down.]
Foreigners are people who have been pulled in from different universes.
Anyway, the thingy is called a StarFish Communicator. We usually call it an SFC. You can post video, voice, or text posts to the network -- which will be received by everyone with one of them.
[ Goodness, Roger, showing little ladies your body so easily. The show does help, though. ] Ah, that does help to explain the meaning behind that mark. I had pondered upon it before, but...
[ Now she's pointing to the communicator herself, tapping at the side. ] What you said about this, I'm not sure I understand. How does one 'post' a voice? Or if you share with me what a 'video' is, I may be more able to learn.
