Instead, he holds up the book in his lap to show Touka the cover. It seems to be a fantasy novel written by one of the natives of Vatheon, and he had been curious.]

Oh, just this. They have more books here than I thought they would.

[A familiar young girl exits out of the library, carrying a book on top of the sketchbook she always toted. It looked to be about techniques on drawing. Anyways, as she heads down the steps, she spots Alice? and walks over to him.]

Hello, Alice. What are you reading?

[As he looks up from his book choice, he smiles to see Namine.]

Hey, Namine. Just this book.

[He holds up what appears to be a fiction novel written by a native of Vatheon.]

I didn't know you like to read. What books do you read?

[She shakes her head timidly.]

Ah, no...I actually have never read any books before. I just found this one on drawing and I thought it looked good, so I borrowed it.

[She stares at him with slight concern.]

Are you okay? You looked kind of sad before.

[But then he shakes his head and manages a smile.]

No, I'm fine. Just relieved that the zombies are gone.

[She was walking by when she saw him reading outside the library. There was quite a stack of books that she had and she stared at him somewhat. Walking over, she leaned over and smiled at him.]

Hey there Alice. What are you doing?

[He looks up from his reading and blinks a few times.]

[He sets the book aside.]

[ And Ciel is glancing curiously at the stranger with the book, because he hasn't seen that one before, and the binding looks too new and updated to be from his time. So he'll just stare curiously. ]

Are you sure it's safe to be sitting out here after last week?

The zombies are gone. So it's safe for now.

[ He ignores both the stranger and book for a moment in favor of crossing his arms and glancing sidelong suspiciously. ]

I'm not stupid. I know that some other dangerous event is sure to happen, but until then, I'm going to enjoy this monster-free time.
