Sakura had been exploring the place when she came across Yosuke. She paused and backtracked a little as she saw him, wondering whether or not she should go over to him, considering he looked pretty confused- much like she had, when she'd arrived. And maybe she hadn't appreciated the information at first, since she'd been convinced it was all some type of hallucination, it was a good thing in the long run. After a few moments debating it, she finally settled on helping him.
Yosuke looked up as soon as he heard the voice. For a few moments he had thought that pixie-thing had spoken to him, which was weird because he hadn't expected it to in the first place. But he was quick to catch on that it was definitely not the one talking to him as soon as he noticed someone walking toward him. And it was a girl - a cute one at that.
He paused, still holding the tail of his shirt out awkwardly. Immediately, he let go of the damp piece of cloth go, letting it fall back into place. "Yeah, I'm all right. At least I think I am." He was pretty sure that nothing had been hurting when he woke up.
Turning his head both ways, he surveyed the surroundings one more time just to be sure that he wasn't hallucinating or something similar to that. "I'm just not so sure where I am."
How best to explain this place to a newcomer? The way it had been explained to her hadn't really helped anything, so obviously tact was important. Or maybe being blunt was important? She couldn't decide.
"Apparently this place is called Vatheon. It's... um, an underwater city," she gestured to the barrier around the place, narrowly avoiding the fairy at her shoulder. "I only got here a few days ago, and all I know is that no one's found a way out yet... and no one knows why we're actually here."
There. That sounded all right, didn't it? Maybe a little bit of a bombshell, but stranger things had happened. Sort of. "Underwater city" and "fairy companions" was a lot stranger than what she was used to. "No way out" was just inconvenient.
Okay, he wasn't sure if saying that was the right thing to do now. She had seemed as confused as he was about this place and he didn't exactly want to force anything out of her if she couldn't explain it
( ... )
Kairi was getting a little worried here, searching for the friends she'd seen days ago, and no there was no sign of them. Maybe it had been her imagination? Thoughtfully, she tapped a finger on the SFC, pausing only when she heard someone's voice. "Hello?" She rounded the corner, stopped short. "Oh hey - let me guess, you just got here, huh?" She smiled sympathetically for his wet state.
Yosuke couldn't help but think that this was his lucky day. He's never been approached by two girls on the same day, nonetheless cute ones. There were the girls in the investigation team and he had to admit that there were good and bad things about them too but they didn't exactly count, especially because they all met up together every so often.
He grinned sheepishly back at her, wishing to himself that the circumstances of their meeting could be somewhat better. There were other thing he would much rather take care of right now, despite the opportunity that presented itself before him.
In spite of that, he grinned at her sheepishly. "Yeah. I seriously wouldn't mind like coming in here if they are least offered a change of clothes or something. Do they expect us to walk around like this the whole time?" He couldn't help but go off like that, especially when he didn't want to think about the things happening back in Inaba.
Kairi folded an arm across her chest, resting her chin against her opposite hand. "Well.. the locals pretty much provide whatever we need if we ask. I thing that'd include a change of clothes. You're going to catch cold if you don't dry off soon though. It'd be pretty inconvenient if we had to walk around in wet clothes." Though inconvenient might be not the correct word to use, especially if you're female and have a white t-shirt/dress on. ... MEN may not mind (and heck, some women) but still.
"Let's see..." Kairi glanced around, "There was a place I was able to go to get spare clothes while I had these cleaned and dried. I can show you where it is if you like." Pause, Ugh manners. "Sorry, I'm Kairi." She added with a chuckle.
"Yeah, I was kinda doing that." It really didn't help that he was still dripping wet. He continued to wring the side of his shirt, hoping that it would actually help somewhat. "Didn't think that they'd be that nice to strangers. Smart move if they're trying to get on our good side."
That suggestion about taking him to wherever it was that would at least get him out of his wet belonging though was music to his ears. "You know some place? It would be great if you point it out." Turning the other way, he shook his hands to rid them of water. "I'm Yosuke Hanamura. Nice to meet you, Kairi."
Naoya just raises a hand to the bridge of his nose before he even hears Yosuke. How was it that whenever he left his apartment, he ended up running into new-comers? Clearly, the answer was he shouldn't leave at all.
But then, it wouldn't be very useful. He was just tired. And mornings? NOT his thing. Still, it's easy enough for him to gather himself by the time he gets closer, his approach sounded by a specific 'clack!' each time one of his geta hit the stone floor.
To put it simply, he's easier to hear than spot. He also moves fast. By the time Yosuke comes to his senses, he's already ready, a smirk on his features, despite the grogginess and how tired he was. He was good at hiding things, after all.
"Another one? My, we're getting a steady influx, now. No wonder our captors were celebrating."

The sudden sound of something approaching definitely got Yosuke's attention, and he almost immediately looked up to find the source of the sound. It wasn't all to hard to do so with all the noise he was making. One thing that Yosuke hadn't noticed though was how close the man had seemed to be. "Whoa, where'd you come from?"
The question seemed stupid though after he realized something the other man had said. "Captors? You really think that people here are kidnapping us?" This hit way too close to home and despite the fact he knew that this wasn't the TV World, it'd suck big time if he had somehow gotten kidnapped in a similar manner to the others. "Man, I never thought I'd be a target, really. I've never even been on TV."
Naoya is a bit of an enigma in that sense. The look of surprise on the young man's face is nothing if not amusing to him. Certainly was brightening HIS day, at least.
"Without a doubt. Welcome to Vatheon." A television had nothing to do with that, sorry. And Naoya wouldn't be so forthcoming with information... not before he had a good lock on this boy; who he was, how he worked. He is far too close for comfort, but Naoya has no idea what personal space is to others. Especially since you've caught his interest. So he's using it to read you like a book.
People are predictable, after all. That, and... with the headphones, this guy... not the person he'd wanted--or expected. And he reminded him of someone he knew, so...
Yosuke looked away for a second and cursed beneath his breath. He shouldn't have said that last part out loud. He was definitely more than thankful though that he didn't have to explain himself for what he just said.
Just when he looked up, he realized just how close this guy really was to him. Clearly, he felt like his personal bubble was invaded by some outsider and it didn't help that his gaydar could go off considering the closeness. Instinctively, he took a few steps back to create some distance between the two of them. A lot of distance, really. "Right, thanks. I don't see how we're welcome if what you said really is true. I mean, seriously?"

*Tsuna has been trying to get some answers somehow, but failure was truly his middle name. He was walking through the city when he happened to see an older boy soaking from head to toe. He shouted out before thinking.*
[He grabs at his pocket about to wring that area when he notices something hard in there. Oh yeah, his MP3 player. He takes it out to see if it's still fine.]

Nice, aren't they? Don't be shy and give them a pat. After all, I daresay I'm pretty friendly.

[Just stares at them as they twitch.]
I think I'll pass on that offer.
