When Things Are Crumbling...

[Signless is completely helpless to ignore anyone so obviously distraught, so he walks across the Plaza to the crying human, and gently sits down beside her. He doesn't say anything, just offers her a towel and his presence.]

[ Anise does notice the other presence there. Someone she didn't know. It might have been for the better. She didn't know how to face everyone right now. She didn't take the offered towel and continued to keep her head in her lap. Her crying stopped but her sobbing was still going for a while longer. ]

[That's okay, Signless understands. He holds the towel out for a bit longer before he gently wraps it over her shoulders, tucking it in around her so it can absorb some of the water. And then he waits.]

[ She doesn't take it but trying to shake him off. She didn't want to have anyone be worried about her right now. She didn't deserve any of it. The worry or the kindness. They would surely leave if they knew what she had done. Her sobbing ceased but her shoulders were shaking a little. She'll have to pick herself up. She couldn't be like this forever. ]

[Sorry, teenage girl crying alone and wet? Not on Lea's watch. Quickly, he scrambles off to do a quick change and...]

[In five minutes, a youth in a raggedy patched up suit and with at least five different scarfs tied in various places- a bright orange and yellow one especially wrapped around his throat- comes bouncing on over. A harlequin's mask covers his face. Once he's close enough, he flips onto his hands, dangling so that the heels of his feet tap on top of her head.]

[ Anise didn't even notice his presence because he disappeared quickly. She just kept to herself for the time being curling up a little more. It was strange that she didn't feel cold from being drenched in water much less realized she needed to change clothes. She heard fabric ruffles a few moments later still blaming herself for all that happened. She ran through a couple of things that she thought would have been done better so that none of this happened. She never wanted things to end that way.

When she felt the tap on her head and she didn't want to look up. What if it was someone she knew? She didn't know how to face them right now. ]

[Unfortunately for Anise, Lea is a determined brat. Just another 'rat tat tat' with both his feet before he hops to his feet. Gently, he reaches down to cup her face, lift it up... And stick his fingers into her mouth, stretching it into a smile.]

[Okay, not quite a smile. But it's something.]

[ Anise is surprised when she hears him hop down and then picked up her tear stained face. ]

[There's the sounds of quiet footsteps, before it stops. A moment later, a girl crouch down in front of her, holding out a towel to Anise.]

[ She didn't take the towel even though she should and dry herself off. Even if she did do that she'd still go back to sitting in a corner. She felt really small right now and tightened her arms around her legs, not really ignoring the lady that was there but she wasn't paying much attention to her either. She knew she had to get over this. What's done was done and she couldn't do anything about it but it didn't stop the guilt that was eating her. ]

[She unfold the towel and gently wraps it around the girl, letting the it absorb some of the water off her body and clothes.]

[ Anise allowed the towel to be wrapped around her form as she curled up....at least it brought some comfort. She didn't want to reject people's help but she was in no shape to say anything to them. ]

[Wait. Was... was that...

The sound of a girl crying had caused him to glance over his shoulder as he walked. Seeing the familiar pink tabard and dark pigtails, however, was enough for Guy to stop in his tracks.]

...Anise?

[ There's a surprised jolt when she heard the voice. That voice she knew who it was and there was a brief moment of silence before she looked up to confirm who it was. It was Guy. She was in an unknown place but there was Guy looking at her.

...

No. She couldn't face him right now...or anyone for the matter. She looked terrible and guilty. ]

[ and she looked away not meeting his eyes a pained expression lined her face...At least she stopped crying...momentarily anyway. ]

[He hadn't seen Anise upset like this before... granted, he still didn't know Anise too well, but she seemed to be a very strong girl. Why else would Jade rely on her so much?

Guy looks at her with concern, his brow furrowing. He wasn't sure whether she was scared or frustrated... or if she had another reason to be upset.]

Anise.

[His voice stays low and warm.]

Anise, it's all right. What's wrong?

"My lady...?" Yukimura crouched down a little ways away from her, as not to startle her, his eyes full of worry. "Are you all right? Why are you weeping?"

[ She kept her face planted in her arms, not saying anything to the man that approached her. She could tell him that she was fine and that there was nothing wrong. Give him a smile and tell him to leave. Yeah that's how it always worked with her. She was always smiling, but somehow....right now it was difficult to even pull off that expression. ]

My Lady?

[ Yukimura questioned again, easing a bit closer until he could reach out and gently touch her shoulder. ]

Anise didn't want to look up but obviously the guy wasn't going to leave soon so she couldn't just brush him off. he might just stay there or something. The Fon Master Guardian looks up briefly, tear streaked face as she glanced at him..... muffling something along the lines of..

"...What do you want?"
