Man, it feels like it's been forever since I've seen the sun!

[He's not exactly talking to anyone in particular. But he's wandering around the beach...]

Seems like it's been even longer since I've been at the beach.

[Normally, Billy's a jerk.

Today though, he's just happy to finally see the sun again after over a year and a half-so today, he's not a jerk.]

I think a lot of us share that sentiment.

But he wasn't exactly expecting someone to actually be here - he turns to Billy, a little startled.]

How long has it been for you?

That sucks. I was missing it as it was...I can't imagine how you feel at this point.

Well, you get used to it the longer you stick around. I might even say that the place kind of grows on you.

... Seeing the sun again is still the high point of my year, though.

[But then again, it's not nearly as serious as the stuff that happens at home.....]

I guess that eventually you kind of start to see it as home.

Well, I have plenty to go back to [... probably] but at this point I've been here so long that it's hard not to associate it with home at times. How long do you have to stay in a country to be considered an official citizen, again...?

... Well, not that I consider myself an official citizen or anything, but it's kind of like that.
