The promised sun

Oh my, it seems some new additions have been made to the bubble. This is truly the kind of occasion that calls for investigations.

But perhaps first, you would like to stop by the Station Master. A bit of an odd name for a man without a station, but lets be honest here, Elevator Master just doesn't have that same ring. He will invite you happily into the small house that has miraculously risen up next to the elevator. Nobody remembers building it, but it sure stands there: a small little cottage with a white picket fence around a small, but well kept, front yard.

But hey, maybe you are not really that into the elderly. Or tea. There is no shame in that. There is more to discover, after all. With a quick trip of the elevator, you will be brought to the new island above, arriving at the outskirts of an abandoned village. A beach can be seen to the East, and it seems some papers are still scattered around the village. Better catch those.

But that is not all. For those a bit more fleet of foot --by which we mean, them dang teleporters-- there is the opposite side of the island to visit. Not much to be seen here. There is that abandoned little harbour that is barely more than a wooden pier, oh and that light house that stands up high on the cliffs. Sure is abandoned here too.

And if that doesn't interest you, how about some nature. To the north of the path lays a large forest. Large clearings are sprinkled intermittently amongst the trees. Perhaps perfect for a camping trip or perhaps for someone interested in some berries. There is also a large, fresh-water lake in the forest.

And finally there is the forest to the south of the path. This forest is far less inviting than the other. The mist here is thicker, chillier and no matter how much you try to walk, run, jump or fly, it is impossible to get into this forest. You either get lost and wander back out again, or get repelled violently by a barrier set across the deeper part of the forest.

All in all, no matter where you go on the island, a thin mist clings to everything, brushing over the ground. And despite the warm sunshine, the mist still makes everything feel rather chilly. And how about that silence? No matter where you go, the only sounds on the entire island are the faint lapping of the sea and the sounds made by the characters themselves. No birds, no crickets, no nothing. It is kinda spooky!
