While Inque had absolutely no reason to consider anyone living here a "friend," she also wasn't prepared to let one get mauled by the creatures. Or worse, eaten alive. Sure, she could handle death, she was even prepared to kill certain people herself, but there were certain kinds of death that she didn't believe anyone deserved. Truth be told, it had caught her off guard. She hadn't realized things like this were roaming the streets because... well, mostly because she didn't actually have anyone she spoke to in Vatheon regularly.
Her eyes strayed to the messy remains of the creature. Inque had dispatched it so effectively and effortlessly that she was definitely intimidated...
"Who are you?"

"Introductions are hardly important right now," Inque irritably responded, and if she had eyes to narrow in her current form, she certainly would. "You should get to safety before more of these things arrive. You've certainly made enough noise..." Well, it wasn't a full lecture, right? More like disappointed scolding, really. And she'd undoubtedly get more of it later at some point, not like Inque had anything better to do.

Which may have been true, if she could have made one. Not for the first time she tugged the ungainly collar.
Then her eyes widen as she spies a flash of scales. "B-Behind you!"

The sound of shrieking was not to be ignored, and she jogged over to investigate.
"Are you significantly harmed?" Kanaya scanned the surroundings. Satisfied that it only seemed to be the one, she continued approaching with her chainsaw out.

Eruka was looking back and forth between the monster and the strange person wielding a chainsaw like she was trying to decide which one was more terrifying... and so help her, she's edging towards the Black Lagoon reject.
