Despite their more than occasional snickers at the foreigners' expense this week, the locals of Vatheon haven't skimmed on the festival they are organizing this Saturday; the smells of delicious foods start drifting all through out the bubble from an early hour and soon the streets are busy with people setting up booths, stages for fight and play.

I wasn't built for battle nor do I lust for it as the others seem to. But I suppose those more battlescarred than I have reason to participate rather than letting their skills go rusty, so to speak.
[ A sideglance at her a moment before turning his attention to the crowd. ]
Though I'd figured a young lady such as yourself would be out there joining the festivities...

...the festival, however. Fire Festival fiasco aside...well. she has to admit, the food smells good right now, and it might be fun to watch people make fools out of themselves playing the silly games. Although-- ]
...it's only fun with people you know. I see nothing but a crowd of strangers.
[ ...eh, she's speaking kind of cryptically here. The doctor has been nice to her; if he invites her, she likely wouldn't say no. ]

You know, my dear... I... don't believe I've had dinner yet. And the food they do have here is admittedly rather some of the best I've had in a while. Perhaps you'd join me?
A change of pace better than staying in this alleyway, hm?

Y-yes. The food is better than what I remember from home. Perhaps...there'll be some left.
[ Well, she did see a lot of people go in that general direction. But she's betting they took that into account, with plenty of food for everyone. She weens her way off the wall she'd been leaning against, stretching a bit--she'd gotten way too comfortable, it seems--and prepares to follow him. ]

[ He pushes his glasses up slightly before offering her his arm. ]
Shall we, my dear, before the good spots are taken?

She doesn't say a word, seeming distracted by seeing all of these people--humans and non-humans alike, up close. She seems...sort of fascinated. ]

Not so bad when you're amongst the folk, wouldn't you say?

[ More and more people were heading in the direction that they were, and it seemed they were getting closer to the source of the food, based on what she could smell cooking. A lot of people got getting hungry around this time, she supposed. ]
Everything seems very... lively.

[ A glance over at the food. Honestly, he had to take Rue out for ramen sometime but then this was pretty good, too. ]
I recommend the stew, personally.

...it's...warm.
[ ...she likes it. ]
Did you want some, too, doctor?

Ah, yes, I should order some for myself as well. This does serve as supper, after all.
[ And so he does, sliding over some bread to her after. ]
Rather good. The city certainly knows what we want.

She can't seem to disagree; Vatheon City life was certainly luxurious in some ways. ]
You seem to like it here, even given how...unpredictable the city can be.
[ ...just an observation, really. She noticed it in their first conversation as well, though she knows more about the city now than she did back then.
Ah--and she spots a table, so she quickly starts walking over to it before it's taken. ]

[ A small smile as he sets his food down and pulls out the chair for her. ]
Who knows? Perhaps in time, you may find this a suitable vacation so to speak.

[ And she sits down, placing her own food on the table. She's not really sure. There are a few perks to living here in the city, she has to admit (at least to herself). But there are things--responsibilities that she needs to take care of at home. She wonders if the doctor hadn't left a few responsibilities himself.
She ponders what he's said for a moment...a change of pace from the norm. ]
Do you find your homeland boring, then?
