[Equius makes his way to the Highblood and Wataru's hive. He's a little less embarrassed about his new outfit now, although he is secretly hoping that Wataru isn't home to see it; he can't imagine the lusus human would really approve of its revealing nature. Hey, he didn't pick it! He hates sleeves. Hates them.

Regardless, he wants to check on the Highblood; taking out four killbots is no easy task, and he wants to make sure he wasn't too badly injured. If he's being honest, he's also a little curious to see what class the other troll is, and maybe see if there's some kind of quest they could go on together.

Arriving at the hive, he looks despairingly at the wrecked door that he can't replace (not yet, anyway), and raises one hand to tap on the wall near it.]

Highblood? Are you home?

[It doesn't take too long for Gamzee to show up, ambling along in his sedated content pace. Unlike Equius, it seems the curse has chosen to put him in even more clothes than normal. The long sleeves too some getting used to, but despite its layers, the purple cleric's outfit is pretty comfortable.

Above his head his stat information bobs happily.

Faygot
Level 3. White Mage
HP = 100% MP = 100%
Lives: :o) :o) :o)

He hasn't quite figured out what a faygot is. He knows Faygo! and Goats! but, faygot is beyond him.

When he spots Equius, he waves happily, his sleeves flopping cheerfully.]

Hey bro, whats up? Sweet new digs you got there.

Hello, Highblood.

[Equius notices the information above the Highblood's head, and he feels a little better, knowing that at least one other troll is stuck in this infuriating healer class. He doesn't know what a "faygot" is either, but he assumes it has something to do with Faygo. His own information reads as such:

Stayb100ponyboy
Level 4. White Mage
HP = 85/85 MP = 170/170

[Oh please. Everybody knows the healer classes have the most devastating holy spells, right? Once... they get there. Eventually.

At Equius' offer, he perks up though. More hanging around time with his friends! This event might be a little silly with shoving them all in some game or whatever, but Gamzee is getting plenty of hanging around time with his bros out of it, so he doesn't care.]

Shit yeah, that all sounds like an awesome wicked thing to be doing, motherfucker.

[Oh, yes. The rumored Holy spells. That healers get around level 50. The Alternia Gods wept.

He's pleased, though, that the Highblood has agreed to go with him and sound enthusiastic about it. There's something else he wants to show him, but he doesn't want to do it here. It's something that needs to be done away from the prying eyes of Watarulusus.]

One of the quest-givers told me about a quest at the pond. There's a big fish there that has been eating all the smaller fish and needs to be caught. Would you be interested in that?

[How much trouble can two healers get into catching a fish, right? Right?]

[Think you just doomed us with that question, bro.

Gamzee meanwhile looks pretty excited at the prospect of fishing. He used to sometimes try to catch fish off of his lusus' back but he had never been very successful at it. clearly this is his chance to turn that around.]

Yeah. Just lemme like leave a fuckin' note for Wataru.

[See the wonderful effect Watarulusus has been having on him. That is actually somewhat thoughtful!

He quickly wanders back into the kitchen to pen down a note for Wataru, before returning. He gets about half way, before going back and adding the same message in English beneath his Alternia script letters. That... might be useful, yes.

Smiling, he grabs his new cleric-standard club.]

Come on. Lets like catch some motherfuckin' fishies.

[Equius nods and starts heading towards the pond, hoping the Highblood will follow him. Assuming he does, as they walk, Equius looks at him out of the corner of his eye and mulls over what he's got on his mind.]

How is your back?

[He asks it abruptly, awkwardly.]

I mean... it looks like those killbots... got in...

Don't all like to be breakin' your fuckin' pan worryin' bout that shit. I'm fine. Put some fuckin' slime on that motherfucker and I can't be all feeling the shit no more.

[Hey, if anyone knows about the pain-numbing qualities of slime, it is him. Sure, his back might look like a rainbow (if rainbows were mostly composed of black and blue and purple) but the slime is keeping it nice and pain free.]

That's good.

[Equius thinks over his next words, and says them carefully.]

If you like, I could make you a few robots to keep at your hive... just in case.

[He doesn't like the thought of the Highblood hurting himself on killbots again, but at the same time, he can't always guarantee that he'll have a steady supply of them on hand, or that he'll be immediately available to run them over. He's learned from the experience with Nitram's legs.]

[Gamzee nearly falters in his step. The offer surprises him a little bit... hah, it is necessary, isn't it? He doesn't like the idea of going out of control again to the point of needing that, but just in case.]

Yeah. I'm guessing I all like need that. Thanks, brother.

want to hand-wave getting the poles and getting started in the next tag? stayb100ponyboy June 7 2011, 13:10:14 UTC
It's no trouble. I'll make those immediately when the curse wears off.

[He thinks about this the rest of the way to the pond, going over what kind of robots he should make, how he make them most effective for the Highblood's fighting style, where to put the cut-off switch... there's a lot of things to consider!]

[They walk the rest of the way in silence, while Equius thinks about his robots and Gamzee... doesn't think much at all, really. Finally, there is the pond though. And the kind quest-giver who has the fishing poles. With the poles received --and to his credit, Gamzee only smacks himself in the face once; -1hp-- it is off to the clear blue pond full of fish to catch.]

Gotta be all fuckin' straight with you here, bro. I ain't have ever done this motherfuckin' shit before.

Really?

[Equius is a little surprised by this; the Highblood grew up near the ocean, he had just assumed that he would know how to fish. One look at the other troll's face, though, and he knows that he isn't kidding.]

Well, I haven't either, so I guess we'll learn together then.

[He selects a worm from the bait can and eyes it quizzically, wondering how to get it to stay on the pole.]

How do fish eat these things?

Reply

faygot June 7 2011, 13:58:15 UTC
[Giant goatfishdad was prone to scaring away the other fishies. Besides, he was more a swimmer than a fisher.

He stares at the worm for a moment, before he claps a hand on Equius' shoulder.]

Miracles, man. Fuckin' fish could all be like teaching us shit.

[He grabs a worm himself, eyeing it, then eyeing the hook... and selects to kind of try and tie the worm around it like a bow. Yep, best reasoning at work here.]

I'm picturing them sitting on a peer. You? stayb100ponyboy June 7 2011, 14:09:59 UTC
[Equius watches the Highblood closely, shrugs, and then proceeds to try to tie his worm around his own hook. The slippery thing gets away from him and falls into the pond with a small splash, and he takes another one and tries again.

Eventually, four worms later, he manages to tie one around the hook and drop it in the water.]

Come on, fish. Come eat the worm.

It is that dang P4 sidequest all over again. faygot June 7 2011, 14:18:26 UTC
[And that is the advantage of dexterous fingers, sir.

Gamzee drops his hook in the water as well. It is a little awkward, holding the pole with his non-dominant hand, but hey, he's not really bothered by sucking at this. Even if they don't get to catch the fish, he still got to spend time with Equius. It's not just level grinding, man; social links are also important.]

Sssh. You gotta all let the fuckin' fishies be coming when they want, bro. You can't be motherfuckin' rushing shit. Just up and let shit happen when it happens.
