Sirius had been having more fun than he'd had in a really long time; even when he wasn't hanging out with Shin, he found himself in a better mood than he'd expected to be in. If he was honest with himself, he'd know that Shin had essentially become what Sirius had lost.

The easy way they could laugh together, even over the stupid or silly things was so similar to how Sirius had been with James that the pain of losing his best friend had lessened.

If he were really honest with himself, he'd know he'd even become pretty attracted to Shin, the guy was pretty enough, sure, but the way he could just be himself with no judgement or expectation was too much of a plus to not be attracted.

Consequently, when he head the knock and Shin calling out to him, it'd be a lie to say he didn't practically hop the couch to answer the door, grinning when he did.

"Hey, there, Shin! I like the outfit."

He chuckled a little as he came into the room, amused that Sirius would take note of his clothing. "It's a little lacking in color for my tastes. I need to do laundry today, apparently."

Shin gestured wide around the room before placing his hands on his hips. "Well, nothing new in sight." He turned to Sirius then. "So where's this big surprise of yours? Don't tell me I jogged all the way here for nothing." Yet Shin didn't sound out of breath by a long shot. Then again, both of them were quite fit young men.

Sirius shook his head, grinning. He doubted Shin had 'jogged' here, but, he wasn't going to say anything this time, he was a little too excited to make the tip to the roof.

"It's not here, it's on the roof. Come on, I think you'll like it."

He continued to hold the door open, almost wanting to bolt out of it himself. As much as he thought Shin would like the motorbike, he was really just hoping.

Shin looked a little shocked. "The... roof?" He repeated, but shrugged his shoulders. "Well okay, if you say so." He walked out of the apartment and waited for Sirius to lead the way.

The excited air that Sirius was giving off was so new to Shin - he'd never seen Sirius like this, not once so far. It was in that moment Shin wondered if maybe this thing was more important to Sirius than any impression of it Shin might get.

As they walked, Shin had to ask. "So why the roof? Can't it fit in your apartment? And if it couldn't, how'd you even get it up here in the first place?"
