[ It's not everyday to see this KeyDerp waltz into a library. That is, though... if he knew it was a library to begin with. Being new here meant exploring every inch of Vatheon that it had to offer, and during those times he would lose track of where exactly he was going. ( Not that he knew anyways. )
Still, he wanderings had lead him into the building filled with books, and what do you know-- Sora came just in time to see your little problem.
Anyone call for some help! ]
Hey there! [ With a friendly wave Sora tried to get the other boy's attention. Now making his way to close in the gap. ] Having problems?
[....UGH, THE KID TOTALLY KNOWS. Suzaku tries to keep his smile and posture relaxed]
Sometimes, I guess. But they're useful, don't you think so?
[Okay. Suzaku is really trying to be mature about all of this and say logical things to keep good little boys in school and all that but at the moment, he's too occupied with staring at Sora's 'fro. HOW IS HIS HAIR THAT BIG IT PRACTICALLY HAS ITS OWN ATMOSPHERE. Jealousssss.]
[The guy looks Japanese. WHY SO TALL. Suzaku feels slightly miffed but the moment passes and he returns to being generally pleasant.]
Thank you, sir. [Respectful though deadpanning on the "kid" thing forever]
Something like that. [Takes the book and tucks it under his arm] I figure it'd be best to try and know more about it all since I'm er....living in it right now.
['Cause he's an adult, bro. AGE DIFFERENCE. Pfft, he's only a few inches taller -- tall enough to reach the top of the bookshelf, anyway.]
Well, it's really more of a city than the sea itself [He says nonchalantly twirling his finger around like he does whenever he describes Vatheon, due to it's "round" dome thing it had going on.] ... but yeah, study hard! It's good for ya.
... Me? Uhh, well I'm here for the same reason as you -- except probably more leisurely. Just looking for some interesting reading material -- can't say I've been too into watching TV recently.
I will, thank you. I never really got a chance to live the life of a day-to-day student. [What with you know, people dying dramatically every semester and too many bad imperialistic chess metaphors.] Didn't even get the chance to finish high school, actually.
This is kind of a nice change of pace for me.
[...Suzaku didn't want to think about it but there was something...odd about this guy. Almost a little creepy. But in an enduring way. Perhaps. Suzaku has had his fair share of strange and vaguely deranged people...but he shakes himself out of it. It's been a long day. He is probably just tired.]
To be honest though, I was hoping to do some job searching as well. I'm not quite sure how well the library pays but...it'd be a start.
From round behind another shelf, Selphie appears, hauling a chair in her arms. She's carrying it rather awkwardly and, to make matters worse, she's walking backwards. Apparently, she must find it so much easier.
But she's not paying any attention whatsoever to where she's going, her eyes lifted up to scan the books on the shelves, so if the guy's not carefully, he's going to be hit by a Selphie and a chair. Ouch!
He tries going on tip-toes, body pressed flush against the bookcase, a look of sheer determination on his face, so much so it's almost cute. Almost.
With a little grunt, he finally gives up momentarily...only to take a step back and bump into one clearly hard, angled thing and one not so hard thing (possibly a person - he is right in this regard of course).
Suzaku lets out a very loud yelp in surprise. The librarians near by give him a hateful glare.
Selphie will share that glare with you! She's lying on the floor, the chair having tumbled somehow onto her legs, for which she lets out a rather unhappy, "Owie...~~"
But she must have bumped into someone else, and sure enough when she sits up she sees the guy. Typical, Selphie, having to go bump into a cute guy. She flashes him an awkward smile, trying to push the chair off her legs.
The look on his face is immediately worried. "Are you alright, miss?" He bends down to take the chair, trying to help her. He feels impossibly guilt-ridden at his carelessness.
"I'm really sorry about this. I hope you're not hurt at all?"
[just happened to be looking up some reading as well when she noticed him. she's staying out of sight for now, but Suzaku will suddenly find that book floating down toward him seemingly on its own.]
[He looks away for just that brief moment. When he turns back, the book is...moving? Towards him. Floating? ......Floating.]
................
[His hands fly to his waist but - fabulous, no gun. He's completely unarmed of course. The book seems to be going at a leisurely pace so he tries to take it all in stride. How dangerous could a few pages of coral reef charts and graphs be? He reaches hand out, tentative.]
[Okay. Alright. So not malicious. That's...a step in the right direction.]
....Next page? [Understand that HE FEELS LIKE A DOLT talking to a book. But he's guessing it might be somehow enchanted. This whole city seems to be after all - it was a perfectly logical to assume smaller objects would be too.]
.......Please?
[He half expects it to shoot an actual piece of coral in his face]

Oh, no! I'm fine! Just...........................................stretching.
[Inner facepalm. Suzaku's mind scrambles to save face.]

Stretching? Eheh, yeah libraries can be pretty boring, huh?
[ His eyes then glance towards the shelf he was 'stretching' near.
He knows, Suzaku. He knooows. ]

Looking up that melajuer-whateverit'scalled, and perhaps some stuff on Austria in general. He's bored, with a slightly piqued interest in that kind of stuff.
But as he walks around the racks he stops and stares. L O L look at that guy over there who can't reach the book...
Far be it from him to ignore a kid who actually wants to study, though. Every kid should be like this -- except taller.
Striding over and pulling out the book for him -- taking a glance at the title though, wow he actually is studying. Good boy.
He hands the book to him.]
There you go, kid. Interested in the deep blue, I take it?

May I suggest using the stepladder?

I. Oh shit in the Shinano... [He tries desperately to recollect himself]
Sorry! [Sheepish, slightly ashamed at his outburst] Miss, I didn't see you there. T-thank you for the advice.
[Conducts a short staring contest with the stepladder, feeling somewhat stupid for not noticing it before]

It's alright. And you're welcome.
[Don't mind her. She's just shelving some other deep-ocean study books, now that she's done with them.]

[!!! He sees those books she's ordering and tries to read the titles without looking like he is. Sneakkkkyyyy]
Do you work here, miss? [Unconsciously turns on the charm]
