FAMILY THREAD!

[After he finishes setting everything up, Mitsuhide takes a seat in the living room. The cooking had taken a long time, the washing-up even longer, and so the brief rest is very much appreciated.]

[There are two packages sat on the table before him, ready to be given to Gracia when she appears.]

[It had taken some time for Mitsuhide to decide on some suitable gifts, but he is quite satisfied with what he decided on in the end. Hopefully they will be enjoyed.]

/DANCE PARTY

[ She was one year away from becoming into an adult today; Gracia was definitely a lot happier than she usually was. As she rounded the corner back to their home at Olie, satisfied with her daily route from the forest bubble to the plaza, she noticed something quite odd.

There was a delicious smell wafting through the air as she approached home. While this wasn't an unusual occurrence in their home, it was enough to make Gracia fasten her pace. ]

[ She opened the door and immediately, she knew what was going on. A smile eventually appeared on her face, slowly evolving into a grin. ]

Aaah! The house looks so nice! [ She walks in and spots her father on the couch.

The presents on the table.

The food.

The decorations. ]

[ Gracia claps her hands once and shuts the door behind her, fully immersing herself in the celebration. ]

Father, is all of this...? [ She approaches him on the couch and plops down beside him. ] You didn't have to. You look so tired now! [ Gracia's still smiling though her words are laced with concern.

I am only a little tired.

[He gives her a pleasant smile and folds his hands on his lap.]

This kind of celebration is nothing like any I have taken part in before, so I had to use the examples of others in Vatheon to set it up.

[Which is very true. It's not like he had a party on his birthday, after all, and in truth he would not have wanted one.]

[ She nodded in understanding, glancing at the gifts he set out on the table. ]

Ahh, so you asked for some help! How wonderful!

[ Gracia hugs him in comfort. ] I love it, father. Thank you for everything! I've never celebrated my birthday in this way before. It's exciting me!

BIRTHDAY TIMEZ!

*Selphie's making her way oh-so carefully through the decorated garden with a box in her hands. Mitsuhide at least kinda got the idea of what she meant, but the Japanese traditional decorations were just too pretty!*

*She wobbles up to the front door, and realising that she can't let go of her box [it's medium sized, with holes in the side, and a big purple ribbon with a fancy bow, and a tag with Gracia's name on] she decides to knock on the door with her foot*

DAMN STRAIGHT

[ Gracia answers the door promptly, and she looks surprised! ]

Sel? [ She spots the box in her arms. Gracia tilts her head and thinks. It's either she came to make a delivery, or... ]

Did you come here for me? [ sdklghsdklg. ]

*It's as good an answer as any! She beams brightly and lifts the box towards her friend*

[ Gracia beams back and carefully handles the present, before ushering her in by outstretching her hand. ]

Thank you! I'm so glad to see you! [ Especially after she --

-- Gracia shook off that thought and hugged the girl tight. ]

BOOZE TABLE!

[ This little manjuu just couldn't resist. The lure of a party meant good times and one simply couldn't party without booze! So of course, to liven things up a bit, he decides to bring the best he can find in this city.

So! There happened to be a few bottles around. Most are high quality Junmai Daiginjo, some just as equally good Daiginjo and probably a bottle or two of sweet potato shochu just to round out the collection...

And near it all, a black little manjuu-looking thing already happily guzzling a cup of sake. Dare you join in?

But of course, there's a rather special looking bottle set aside for Gracia. Only polite to bring a gift~ ]

WHELP, BETTER GET OUT THE HANGOVER PILLS.

[ By now, Gracia's surprise had mellowed down a bit. Her family worked hard for a party, that much was obvious. She was bouncing here and there, a perpetual smile on her face as guests came and went. She never had this much fun celebrating a birthday before. The last time something like this happened was during the Shichi Go San, as she turned seven. ]

[ The redhead approached the table and gaped at the creature drinking sake. ]

You're so cute! And you brought so many drinks for everybody! Thank you!

HE ATE EM ALL.

[ This ears her a happy little earperk as she approaches. Downing his cup, Mokona hops over with the bottle. ]

Happy birthday! Mokona saved the special one for you!

[ She curtsies gracefully. Her smile slowly disappears though. She carefully grabs the bottle and stares at it. ]

Thank you for your present. I appreciate it very much!

[ She continues to stare at it. ]

[He had been at a total loss as to what to get her for quite a while but in the end, he had finally figured out something that he felt made a decent enough gift. So carrying a nicely wrapped box with him, he made his way over and politely knocked on the door.]

[ She opened it quickly and gave Canada a big bright smile. ]

Cana, you came too. Thank you. [ She opens the door wide enough for him to enter. ] Come inside!

I wouldn't miss it for anything. Happy Birthday, Gracia. [Smiling shyly, he took a hesitant step or two inside.] For a little bit, I guess. I- I don't want to stay too long, after all.
