[There's quite a ruckus going on in the forest. Crashes, roars, and... a sandstorm? It's not a massive one, but it's engulfing a 20 foot radius with blowing debris.
And what's the source of this mayhem? Why, it's a

But... Even sick, and tired, he still can't keep still. It's just how he is, and partnered with the anxiety, that isn't a good thing. But he's at least trying to do something relaxing. And who knows! There's a small, futile hope in his heart that Stein will have just gone back to sleep in trees again, for whatever reason.

If he could pick a fight without making a bad impression, you can bet that he would. It seems that he wasn't deterred by the sandstorm in the slightest.
He grins right up at the Pokemon.]
Nice show, big guy. [And a nod to the lady-] And I ain't the best judge, but I gotta say you did a nice job of training him.

She? Ah, my bad. Gal, then.
[Then, like it just noticed the sandstorm passed, a parrot lands on his shoulder.]

Looks like she's doing okay, though.

Hah. Well, believe it or not, back home she is quite a bit stronger. She's been training with me her whole life.
