...However, whereas the painting of Amaterasu should inspire awe, she instead gasps.

[Like the fine and proper gentleman he is, Issun proceeds to laugh at her for it.]

Frightened, huh? I guess I'd be scared of that big ugly mug, too, if I wasn't so used to seeing it already!

I wouldn't worry about that one. She ain't normal by any definition, and is more likely to give you a meal than make ya into one!

[Rhode had been heading to the cake shop to buy a few select treats. Then, the paintings caught her eyes. Most of them seemed rather boring, save for one. Of course, the most terrifying painting caught her little eye. Stepping closer, Rhode examines he painting]

Careful! [He hasn't looked up from his current work, but it's clear he's addressing her.] That one might jump out and snap at ya if ya get too close, heh heh.

[Rhode was surprised when a voice suddenly spoke up. A little "!" appeared in the bubble before a question mark appeared. Looking around, Rhode spotted Issun over at another interesting looking painting. ]

Oh, really? [She looked at the painting once again but with a bit more fascination.} What exactly is it?

[His thought bubble flashes through several different memories at her question, though a "well-endowed" woman with cold, soulless red eyes appears the most.]

That's the demon wench known as Ninetails, lord of Oni Island. She caused me and Ammy a whole lotta trouble while she was around, lemme tell ya!

The paintings of Amaterasu are familiar, and the thought bubble following him around reflects that with a questioning 'Ammy?'

But then he sees the glowing green bug and stops. 'Is that a bug?']

[ N is studying the paintings curiously, though he is keeping his distance. He's got his hands clasped together behind him like a little kid reminding himself not to touch. ]

Hey, it's... [Huh. He never did get this guy's name, and it shows in the way his thought bubble shows what is basically a big tuft of green hair and a bunch of question marks.] Uh... it's you!

[He gestures to the paintings.] Do ya like 'em? You can have one, if ya want!

[ N, of course, is drawn to the ones with animals (or goddesses, as the case may be) in them. He ends up pointing at the Ninetails picture. ]

Anyone who takes a picture takes a little bit of Ammy's story with them. I'd never charge for that!

[He notes the painting with a grimace.] That's Ninetails.

[Are you trying to thieve from the master thief himself, ma'am?

He sees her there, but he'll pretend not to notice for now! Hmm hmm hmm, soooo busy painting over here...]

[Issun makes no attempt to move out of the way, but juuust before her finger reaches him, a flower suddenly blooms above her hand! Now how did that get there? :o]
