[ N is studying the paintings curiously, though he is keeping his distance. He's got his hands clasped together behind him like a little kid reminding himself not to touch. ]

Hey, it's... [Huh. He never did get this guy's name, and it shows in the way his thought bubble shows what is basically a big tuft of green hair and a bunch of question marks.] Uh... it's you!

[He gestures to the paintings.] Do ya like 'em? You can have one, if ya want!

Really...? You wouldn't mind?

[ N, of course, is drawn to the ones with animals (or goddesses, as the case may be) in them. He ends up pointing at the Ninetails picture. ]

Anyone who takes a picture takes a little bit of Ammy's story with them. I'd never charge for that!

The cruelest! [His thought bubble flits over several scenes: an enraged water dragon, a sunken ship, a city cloaked in a sickening green smoke.] When she wasn't tryin' to get me and Ammy killed, it's usually 'cause she was off hurtin' someone else.

[ N looks surprised. He thinks of the images of Ninetails he's seen in his books, beautiful fox-creatures with Vulpix puppies at their heels. ]

That's nothing like the ones at home, at least, not if the books are true.

Be grateful that's the case! I've met some of your pocket guys [uh-huh, he's still saying it wrong], and they don't really look like they're capable of the kind of evil this demon has done.

I don't think they are... I've met some that are mean, but I don't think they have the capability to be evil.
