[After arriving and finding Rika-chan, Mion had been spending most of her time surveying the area. The city seemed more like Okinomiya than Hinamizawa, but at the same time, it wasn't like anything she had ever seen before. The buildings there were so big, and that coral was everywhere.

Just when she thought things couldn't be any stranger, Mion found herself wandering into some sort of strange farm. Rather than there being cows or chickens, though, there were giant yellow birds.]

So...what? Are you guys supposed to be like giant chickens or something?

[They just wark at her, causing the teenage girl to laugh and rub the back of her head.]

Right. Like you guys can really answer...

[And that's when she spots the man lying on the ground, shirt riddled with bullet wounds. That sure brings back memories.]

Hey! You ok?!

[Mion walks over to him and leans over, checking to see if the guy is even awake. If she had arrived alive after being shot, then it's likely that this man is the same.]

Mmhmm.

[His response is somewhat detached, but he nods to confirm it.]

[Cloud was just walking by and blending into the chocobos quite well, thank you when he heard someone call his name. It wasn't that uncommon as of late, but still─]

[Wait... that voice; he knew it─]

[He briefly glances around, then noticing the form on the grass of the chocobo pin. No... It wasn't possible. But... this place always seemed to bring back things he never expected. With all he's come across lately...

He's jumping in there and running to his best friend's side, bending down to his side. It─he looked just like he had──] Hey!

[GETTING THAT CURE MATERIA OUT RIGHT. NOW.]

[W-way to speak the devil summon him, Zack. He may not be the best at using healing materia, but whatever Alpha didn't take care of... he did his best to mend.]

Z-Zack...?

[Idly he wonders if this is heaven. If this is what the Lifestream really looks like. It'd make sense that this could be it, but why Angeal isn't here is beyond him. For now, he'll remain on the ground. It was comfortable here and he didn't have any plans of disrupting that any time soon.]

[Mumbled mostly to himself, Zack tilts his head back to stare up at the stranger.]

[Cissnei had become fond of the Chocobos. They were a small piece of home and she found herself drawn to them despite herself. Thus, after making one of her daily visits, the small Turk came across someone...unexpected.]

...Zack? [Her voice caught in her throat and she fell to her knees at his side.] Zack?! [She had seen him in Vatheon before, but...why was he laying down? Was he hurt?]

Are you alright? [She tucked her red hair behind her ears and moved to push him up.] Lean on me. I'll get you to the clinic.

[Huh... How long has it been since he's seen her?]

I'm fin--[And his back pops from the sudden movement and he grins faintly. That felt pretty great. He's not sure how long he was laying there before Cloud crawled over to him after he was shot, but his body felt stiff nevertheless.] Clinic? C'mon...

[A small smile touches her lips when he remembers her name.]

At least you don't have amnesia.

[She gives him a look. She heard that pop.]

Why don't we play it safe? [Offering him her shoulder, she moves to get onto her feet.] What happened to you?

Nah. My memory's fine for the most part. A little confused, but it's there.

[He hesitates for a moment before he moves to support himself against her shoulder to stand.]

...Freedom, I suppose.

[ Panic didn't look good on Nodoka. She was used to it, though, but it had been a short while since she was this afraid for someone else - someone with holes in their clothes, smiling like they could drift away at any moment. It was frightening, and she instantly knelt by their side and took the person's hand, not really thinking. ]

S-Sir? Are you alright?

[On the positive side there isn't any blood. When his hand is taken, he cracks an eye open. That definitely didn't feel like Angeal's, but on the other hand it did feel like...]

...An angel?

[ She can feel herself flushing instantly and she shakes her head with a smile. ]
