In the soft quiet of Victori Garden, Lea can already hear Miss V. (as he calls her) makes a small noise. "Another newcomer," she murmurs, and the redhead looks up from where he's cleaning one of the cafe tables. Sure enough, out in the plaza, there's a gorgeous woman in a soaked wedding dress.

Completely soaked to the bone. The sign of every newbie.

Quickly, like they've done a couple times before, Miss V. hands him a big fluffy towel, and Lea trots out, giving a bird-like whistle of his own.

"Heya!" He tosses the towel over her head before he realizes he probably should have taken better care with the stuff in her hair. Oh well, it's all wet anyway. "Not too freaked or anything, right?"

((ooc: Because I am cheap without icon space and this just happened, the icons don't show it, but Lea has a tattoo on his face now. No clue if you saw it yet, but heeeey.))

The return whistle made Yuna jump. Could it be one of her guardians answering her? No, not this time. Still she waits until the tattooed young man approaches her only for a towel to suddenly envelop her head. A few pins fall out of her hair. Freaked out, no. Confused, yes. She had hardly been expecting this sort of welcome.

But it's a friendly gesture and it does draw a small smile out of her. "Thank you," she bows before drying her face and shoulders.

"I think I'm okay, it's just..." She inhales as if she has the weight of the world of her shoulders. "I'm not really sure where I am. Or where my guardians are." But based on what she remembers last, she asks "Though, I suppose we're somewhere near Bevelle, yes?"

"Never heard of it," he says, half offhandedly, half apologetically. Time for the unpleasant parts of being a part of the welcoming committee. Scratching the back of his neck, Lea gives it a shot. "You're kind of. Um. Accidentally kidnapped? That sounds about right."

Man, that is not reassuring at all, is it? Lea hurries on.

"You're in Vatheon, the wonderful upside down fishbowl. It kinda.... Yanks people from different worlds. For whatever reason." Ah, the mystery of Vatheon.

People from different worlds? But how could that be? Perhaps Sin's toxin touched him.

And yet, she believes him, if only a little bit. He's not the first person she's met that didn't know what Bevelle was. She'd never heard of a Vatheon in her life, and yet she was here. And if she can believe in his Zanarkand, an otherworld is possible.

...just not convenient at the moment. Because if what he says is true, then she's in a world of trouble.

"Please," she swallows hard, her hands now gripping the towel. "There must be some way to leave. If I don't get back in time - " She shakes her head. "I have to go back."

[madlydancing]

[In his lonesome reprieve from people and things, Kefka found himself once again drawn towards the plaza. He was en route to see the Coral until a strange girl caught his eye.]

Well, would you look at that.

[Kefka chuckled as he got a better view of the drenched bride.]

Lemme guess, you stood you're hubby up at the altar!

[Yuna feels the heat rise to her cheeks. How could she forget? Word always traveled quickly in Spira; of course everyone would already know.

Even strange clowns, it seems.]

Please, I don't know what stories you might have heard, but it wasn't... It wasn't like that at all.

[madlydancing]

Ooooh?

[The silly clown tilted his head towards the side like a curious chocobo.]

Do tell! I wanna hear this little story while it's hot and fresh.

[grandsummon]

[She shakes her head. Just the thought of Lord Seymour reminds her of what she must do.]

I can't. Not now, it's just... it's complicated. But it isn't what you think.

And I have to find my guardians. So please, excuse me.

[And with a Yevonite's bow, she starts to walk away]

[ Having heard the call, Shirayuki walked over to greet the newcomer, waddling over with an almost too-big bag at her side. ]

Excuse me, miss. [ She waves a little bit, smiling. ] My name's Shirayuki. It's kind of a long story about where you are, but... [ She gets a bit of a worried look. ]

First things first, we should get you a change of clothes. You must be cold.

[Yuna looks to Shirayuki warmly, albeit a little nervously. She's still unsure about everything, but based on all that has happened to her today, she needs a friendly face.

She bows.]

Thank you, Shirayuki. I am the summoner Yuna from the Isle of Besaid. And I- yes, I suppose I am a little cold.

But please, tell me. Where are we, exactly?

[nogreenapples]

It's nice to meet you, Yuna. Follow me, I'll tell you what's happening on our way to the clothing outlet. [ She starts walking off into one direction, toward the Middle District. ]

This place is called Vatheon. It's - and it is your choice to believe me or not - it's a little sanctuary under the water.

[ ... fff, this is so serious, but she laughs. ] That does sound rather silly aloud, doesn't it? Well, all it takes is a look around to see that you aren't outside. [ Seeing as they're surrounded by water - not sky. ]

[She follows, though her eyes are trained upwards rather than forward. It reminds her of the spherepool, only inverted. The revelation doesn't make Yuna feel any better, though. ]

I'm really grateful for your help, but I need to find my guardians. And anyway, I'm not carrying any money. I wouldn't be able to pay for new clothing.

[Effy was out getting some food, and the whistle caught her attention. She was good at a lot of things, but she hadn't been one to whistle. Curious about it, she decides to walk towards where it had come from, finding a soaked individual in a ....gown? What.]

Em, hi. You're new here, I take it?

[grandsummon]

[No, not who she was looking for. Her heart sinks a little. But perhaps it's someone who could help?]

I suppose. [She shakes her head] Though, I'm not really sure where here is to be honest.

This is Vatheon.

[Pause.]

You can't leave.

[grandsummon]

[She steps back, momentarily shocked before a look of pained acceptance crosses her face.]

Is this... is this punishment for my transgressions?

[This new woman wears, what Naoto deduces is, a wedding dress; beneath the brim of her hat, she observes the woman for a while before deciding it would be best to help her. With new arrivals come the possibility of one remembering who brought them there.]

You are new here, aren't you?

[Unfortunately, the whistling took a little more of Yuna's remaining strength. She falters a little when the dizziness returns at full force.]

I am. But I can't really remember how I got here from-

[She hesitates before breaking off her sentence completely]

Could you tell me where we are?

[Naoto sighs. Predictable response.]

This is a city known as Vatheon; it is, as it appears, underwater. As of currently, there seems to be no means of exit; the locals are unwilling to explain how we leave if they know.

[She notes the paleness to the newcomer's face, the way she blinks and finds it hard to focus her heterochromatic eyes, and the constant fight she seems to have to remain upright.]

Are you feeling well? [A certain urgency peppers her voice. Naoto's not, by any means, a healer, and it would be good to know as soon as possible if she should find a medic.]

[grandsummon]

[An underwater city? But in all of her studies of Spira, she doesn't know a place called Vatheon. Yuna recoils slightly, trying to make sense of it all.

But her current condition is making it rather difficult. She clenches her fist.]

I'm fine. [Not really...] I just.... my guardians, I have to find them or they'll worry.

[A fearful thought pops into her head, though. There is one way she could have been brought here without knowing it.]

Tell me, though. Do you know if this place was recently attacked by Sin?
