Celes had enough embarrassing moments for the time being, so she was a bit late to the party to get changed into her normal outfit. She opted for her rapier so she can move out of the way quickly if needed.

Stepping out she wove the spell for Blizzard before throwing it the ghosts.
"Think this is a curse or the ship?" They found nothing when they went exploring. Maybe trespassing on the ship brought them from their dormant state?

Locke threw a few more ghosts back before heading closer to celes to act as defender, partner or whatever she needed from him.

"Dunno, maybe we pissed them off, but whatever it is, it's certainly dangerous!"

"They probably weren't up for..." Body arranged itself to fencer stance as she moved. Jabbing, parrying and just running her sword through the broken flesh. "...company. They could have decided to repay the favor." Little of a smile as she moved to help guard him just as he was for her.

"Yeah, guess you're right. That'll teach us to explore creepy abandoned ships."

Locke sliced through a pirate that tried to move behind them, and finished him off by stabbing him in the chest. Despite the whole 'life threatening' part of fighting off once-dead pirates, Locke had to admit, he was kind of enjoying the familiar hand-to-hand combat.

Kagome was running by when she watched a pirate seeming to jump at the house, she pulled back her arrow and released it. She didn't know why they were swarming the house, but she wasn't about to let anyone get hurt.

Locke felt relief flood through him as he saw a pirate that had snuck up on him go down, an arrow sticking out of it.

"What the hell?"

Lock looked up and saw a young woman with a bow in her hands a few yards away.

"Hey! Thanks!" He shouted before mowing down another pirate with a quick spell.

Kagome smiled at him as he looked at her. She never met him before but it was better then him dieing.

"No problem! Watch out!" She called as she watched more swarm at him.

Without pause Locke spun around, casting thundaga, blowing a hole in the pirate's ranks. Why were there so many? Maybe he and Celes shouldn't have explored that damned ship after all.

"Geez! Thanks again, sorry we had to meet under these circumstances!" He shouted to the stranger and continued to fend off the once ghosts.

Looking up quickly he spoted a smaller group splinter off and rush towards his mysterious aide.

"Hey! Look out!

While one group were hit with a firaga spell, yet another were frozen by a blizzaga spell. From where? From Selphie. She wasted no time in having the pirates smashed to pieces. She spotted Locke and raised a hand in a quick wave before conjuring up another blizzaga spell.

Locke saw the brunette but moved to block an attack before knocking his assailent back.

"Hey, good to see an alive and friendly face!" He shouted to the girl.

Selphie smiled at Locke, giving a quick flash of a wink as she hit her nunchaku out. Then firaga follows firaga and a quick cura over Locke, just in case.

"Hey!

...

These guys keep coming back!"

Locke felt the effects of the spell and instantly felt better. He continued his deadly dance of daggers and spells, pausing only once to ensure he threw a cure at his companion, returning the favor the best he could.

"Yeah, I noticed, If it's not something they just do..." He dodged and landed a bit closer to the girl, taking out another pirate on his way. "...then it could be because my friend and I probably pissed them off by exploring their ship!"

Locke spotted his friend running by and was torn between his desire to protect him and his desire to laugh at his actions.

"Italy! Are you ok?" Part of him hoped the young man would just keep going and stay away from the danger.

He is. I couldn't resist throwing him at Locke. pastaismylife January 15 2011, 02:18:37 UTC
Italy didn't notice Locke at first until he heard his voice. He stopped and turned to smile at his friend. "Locke!" He yelled as he jumped slightly, before remembering that he was being chased. He took off running towards his friend. "Help me! Help me! Help me!"

Locke nodded, instantly switching into a protective mode. He ran towards his friend and as Locke passed him, the thief darted between him and the pirates.

"Don't worry, I got your back."

The Man of the Hour Finally Appears madlydancing January 15 2011, 00:57:58 UTC
After getting held up by a legion of undead earlier, Kefka looked less like his jovial self now and more sinister than ever before. He was tired, exhausted even. There's not enough fire spells in the universe to burn all these ghouls into cinders. With no sign of this onslaught ending anytime soon, Kefka couldn't help but wonder if this was some sort of joke. He has all his powers back, yet he's too exhausted to use half of his awesome magic.

What sort of cruel irony is this?

"Get the HELL out of my way!" He yelled once he blasted a round of Ultima to a herd of unsuspecting ghouls. Walking over the charred corpses with ease, Kefka growled once he spotted the annoying treasure hunter.

"Tch, you're still alive?"

The man of the hour, huh? kings_thief January 15 2011, 03:48:27 UTC
Locke heard the familiar voice and felt his stomach drop. Great, just what he needed, another being threatening him.

"What do you want, clown?" He contuinued fighting, not dareing to stop, although he did offer a sideways glare.

"Can't you see I'm a little too busy to be playing with you?"

He threw a fire spell just past Kefka at another group of pirates.

Offering the annoying thief a side glance, Kefka cast a quick Reflect spell upon himself just in case Locke gets too reckless with his spell-casting. Now enveloped within this yellowish-green light, the harlequin gave Locke a cruel smirk. "Oh, nothing~!" He hummed in a singsong tone. "I'm just hanging around, really. I guess you could say I'm a little bored." Not the truth at all, Kefka was actually seeking refuge from the onslaught before he accidentally ran into Locke.

"Too busy to play with me? Aw, boo! I was really looking forward for it." Kefka chuckled lightly as he summoned enormous shards of ice to strike down the incoming horde. Anything touched by the ice was instantly frozen in their tracks.

"Such pretty little ice sculptures!"

Locke saw the pirates freeze, and quickly broke them all, distroying a few others around them.

"Bored, huh? well, have fun with some of these pirates."

Locke didn't like Kefka in the slightest, but he knew the man was powerful, and there were a lot of pirates around. That didn't mean he needed the clowns help, not at all.
