Despite the sudden attack on the city, there was some good news. A certain feather-headed someone just figured out how to teleport again. Apparently great distress and fear caused by a large ship smashing into the city had triggered the fight or flight instinct in the young demon lord. In an instant, he was not in his bed and tucked under the covers but standing inside said pirate ship wearing nothing but his nightgown
( ... )
Out of all the people he could run into this evening, Kefka comes across his least favorite person in the world. Raenef wasn't hardly as annoying as Celes' friends, but the kid was as dense as block of ice. The kid seemed to lack any common sense, along with any basic logic that every human possesses naturally. Raenef was such an odd ball, but Kefka didn't have the heart to zap him to death.
Landing soundlessly upon the deck, Kefka sighed. "What are YOU doing here?" He asked with a very unimpressed expression. The jester wasn't sure why the blunderer decided to wander aboard the abandoned vessel, but Kefka wasn't amused.
"Eclipse?" The clown arched his brow. "Who's that?"
"Eclipse is my tutor! He arrived here a few days ago. Isn't that great?" He asked, his eyes full of mirth and joy that could brighten the darkest of days. Well, maybe not days like today, but most normal days. "He's the one who's teaching me how to be a demon lord where I come from."
As to how he got here, well that was simple enough. At least Raenef had the decency to look humiliated despite the smile on his face. "I, uh... I got scared and teleported here accidentally. Did you get scared too, Mr. God?" He blinked for a second and took a sweeping look around. "Or, wait... hang on..." No one else around, Mr. God was flying, and the gears in Raenef's head were turning at a very fast rate. Which is why, after a slow blink, he spit out this question:
Kefka didn't know whether to be worried or not about that. He doubted this Eclipse fellow was very bright if he got stuck trying to teach this monkey anything. However, Kefka does remember Raenef speaking highly about his tutor. Whoever this Eclipse guy was, Kefka was certain that he wouldn't like him much. Just the name 'Eclipse' alone was enough to give him that indication, because who the hell would name themselves 'Eclipse'?! It sounds so stupid and pretentious, almost like one of those new-age pagan names.
"Just great." Kefka grumbled in a humorless tone. "Can't wait to meet the guy. Really." No, he's actually dreading the day he meets this Eclipse-fella. "I'm not scared!" He nearly yelled at Raenef for that accusation.
"I just came here to see what's going on. That's all!" Letting out a slight huff, Kefka turned away briefly from Raenef to survey the damage around them.
"Eh?" He blinked his eyes at the boy's question. "Did I do what?"
