Characters: The Doctor and everyone Location: The town edge nearest to the Forest Time: Mid-morning Style: Starting in third, but any afterwards Status: Open like a book!
[The Doctor puts his proffered hand down. He bows after putting his hand down, mimicking the man's gesture.]
Prison? Have I landed on a prison planet?
[The Doctor gazes around. There were no guards in sight. He frowned slightly. Just because he didn't see any guards, however, did not mean that he wasn't incarcerated.]
Well, this was a little more original for an entrance.
The young man tilted his head to the side, aquamarine eyes seeming to study the eccentric man before him before letting a faint smirk cross his lips. Though, the voice behind him he could live without.
"There are always people around, but whether or not they make their presences known..." A faint chuckle was given as he offered the Doctor a towel. "I take it you just arrived?"
The Doctor turned on his heel and grabbed the young male's towel with a grateful "Thanks". As he dried his hair, more leaves and other forest debris fell from his head. He finished and offered the towel back to young man. Although his hair was now dried, it was a fluffy, unkempt mess. Not that the Doctor cared.
"I know that all too well," the Doctor responded, looking slightly crestfallen. A beat later, the Doctor broke out in another grin.
"As to having just arrived: Yep yeppity yeppers!" the Doctor replied emphatically. "...Remind me never to say that again."
Riku nodded slightly, tucking his thumb into his pocket as the Doctor dries himself off. Curious, what with all the forest debris falling from his head. Hm... This man and Sora would get along well. "Guess some of us are just shy."
He stifled a chuckle at the sudden mood switch and enthusiasm. "Welcome to Vatheon, then: fishbowl extraordinaire and pulling in outsiders for months or years." Why did he suddenly feel like teasing? Who knows, but perhaps he was just in a snarky mood because it was so close to the holidays.
"I'm Riku," he offered, holding out his hand to shake after taking back the towel.
"Your footwear seems to be absent." Philip peered at The Doctor in a quiet, yet curious manner. Touching his lip for a moment, he came closer, a bag of Christmas presents tucked loosely against his side. Christmas was not a holiday he'd normally celebrate, but the chance to gift something to his family and friends was welcome nonetheless.
Cocking his head, he studied The Doctor for a few moments more. "You must be another newcomer."
"You seem to be correct," the Doctor stated, peering at his unshorn feet and wiggling his toes.
The Doctor peered at the bag on Phillip's back. "Is it Christmastime here?" The Doctor had mixed feelings about Christmas. While, on principle, it was a nice holiday, the Doctor always seemed to run into trouble around Christmastime.
"And yes, I have just arrived here. Wherever here is." The Doctor fluffed his dampened hair in frustration. He'd never heard of such a world before. While he had visited the Atlantis in his universe, he was beginning to suspect that he was, in fact, no longer in Kansas. Or, rather, his universe.
"I generally am," Philip replied with a faint nod. It was not being a braggart. Philip simply did not state much of anything unless he was positively sure about it. "And you are currently in Vatheon. It seems to be a kind of nexus of worlds, where various dimensions and times meet. It is also underwater."
He shifted his bag. It was quite full of books. "And it is also Christmas."

[The arrival caught Ammy's attention, and as was usual, she trotted over to get a look at the newcomer. She let out a curious 'arr', careful about her distance.]
[The Doctor suddenly got a thoughtful look on his face. He dug through his pockets, and eventually pulled an over-sized bone out of his left jacket pocket. This type of bone was the favorite of the noseless Barcelonan dog. The Doctor always kept one or two of them in his pockets, just in case. Maybe this dog... well, it looked more like a wolf, actually, now that he thought about it. Maybe this wolf would like it? The Doctor threw the bone half way to the white wolf, as a friendly gesture. He squatted and waited to see what the wolf would do. If it attacked, he'd have to high-tail it out of there pretty quickly. Still, the wolf seemed like it had an amicable air about it...]

He pauses, tilting his head inquisitively, and smiles.]
Another newcomer, perhaps?
My--
I suppose if you are so very absorbed in your task, I shall not interrupt!

You're not interrupting!
[The Doctor's face breaks into a broad grin.]
Hello! I'm the Doctor!
He holds out his hand for the stranger to shake. Or not. The Doctor isn't really sure about the customs around here. Wherever "here" is.

I am known as Xerxes Break. It is a pleasure, I'm sure.
Shall I be the first to welcome you to your new prison?

The Doctor refocused, asking, "You mean to say you're not native to this world either?"
Taking Riku's hand and shaking it, he said "I'm the Doctor, by the way."

"Ah! You seem to be a well informed young man! Do you also know how it was we were brought here? Or for what purpose?"

[The wolf didn't seem to be attacking, so the Doctor threw caution to the wind and began petting it. It looked friendly enough.]
Aren't you a sweetheart!
