It was not that often that Heather came across a prancing idiot in a park, it happened, but hey, it was pretty rare. And with nothing better to do than to bother this glee-filled fool she strolled over to him and, trying to hide her grin, she spoke.

"Hey, you do realise that you're dancing with no music, right?"

"Hello, my Lady."

Mitsuhide smiled brightly at the newcomer. He'd never seen her before, but right now was not the time for him to ask questions.

"I do know!" he said, moving around still. "But when there is no music, one can simply step in time to your own heartbeat. They say that the drum was created originally to replicate the sounds of a heartbeat, you know."

The young samurai laughed, closing his eyes partially. It was a dreamy expression he wore as he continued to spin around, perfectly content with himself.

This guy was a little too cute for Heather to lay on all of her cynicism.

"Heh, is that so?" This guy looked more feminine than she did! "Hey, you foreign or something? Japanese? Look at all that hair... Oh hey!" The Simpsons had taught her this one "Kon-nee-chi-wa!"

And, in hindsight, a horrible thought hit her. What if he wasn't Japanese.

A tilt of the head. Mitsuhide stopped dancing for a moment and chuckled briefly before replying.

"Yes, I am Japanese," he chirped, bowing a little. "My name is Mitsuhide, a samurai of the Akechi clan! Or, well, I was, but that's alright, it doesn't matter at the moment."

The young man ran a hand through his ponytail, prompted by her mention of his hair.

Everyone was in such good moods this week - it was a nice change from the crabbiness before Halloween. Deciding to take a walk outside, Rena was now strolling into the park, wearing a casual white dress today, a hand set atop her beret for the moment. When she caught sight of Mitsuhide dancing in the open, she giggled.

Mitsuhide did not spot Rena immediately, and continued to dance at his own pace; slowly, dreamily. After a short while he made a turn and his gaze fell on her. He waved energetically when hit did, stopping for a moment in order to greet her properly.

"Hello, Miss Rena! he called out, bowing politely. "I hope this day find you well? Certainly these streets seem to be filled with joy at the moment, don't they?"

The young samurai span around on the spot and laughed.

"It is good, very good!"

Still giggling, Rena returned Mitsuhide's bow with a slight curtsy of her own. "Everyone's in such a good mood - it's wonderful!"

"It is a very welcome thing indeed," laughed Mitsuhide. "My heart soars to know joy like this. It has been a long, long time since I have done so."

He began to dance again, this time in a slightly more energetic manner.

"I haven't felt the need to dance like this for some time, either. Perhaps it was at some kind of festival last... perhaps. It doesn't matter, really. All that matters is that I indulge in it now, don't you think?"

Kagome smiled as she happened to see Mitsuhide-san dancing in the park. He looked very good as she watched him. She wanted to dance with him but it seemed like he was too good for her. She giggled at herself. She'll kill demons but she was afraid to dance.

"Lady Kagome!"

Mitsuhide spotted Kagome rather quickly. He did not stop in his dance, but he did wave as he moved around slowly.

"I hope this day finds you well? Truly, Vatheon is filled with light at the moment. Do you feel it too?"

The samurai twirled around on the spot, eyes closing briefly as he raised his arms up as part of his dance. He was considering finding some kind of music to dance to soon, but not yet. The drum that was his heart was enough for the moment!

She giggled.

"Mitsuhide-san its nice to see him." She waved back.

"Yes it does. Truly, I feel as though my heart is light. I fell that all of Vatheon is like this."

She watched him and she stepped closer to him. "There is no music."

"There is no music, it is true," replied Mitsuhide. "But there is the steady, strong beat of my heart."

His dance began to quicken a little, his moves becoming more regular and less drawn-out.

"It is a good rhythm to work with. Why, they say drums were based on the heartbeat. You can understand why, if you close your eyes and move around."

[Mitsuhide stops in his dance for a moment upon hearing that familiar voice. Looking over, he smiles widely to see Sakuya. Every inch of the samurai's face glows with contentment and happiness right now.]

Hello, Miss Sakuya!

[He twirls.]

Today is a good day to dance!

I am.

[Especially so now that he is out of the house. He's not going to be mentioning the fact that he isn't supposed to have left his home. OH no. A bright smile!]

Do you still wish to learn to dance? I am more than willing to show you.

Today's a particularly good day for a walk in the park. That is the sole the reason why Sora's wandering around, and it most definitely has nothing to do with the fact that Riku threw him out because Sora's been fussing with Riku's tail too much his friend was feeling grumpy.

As he wanders, he sees a familiar face and he breaks into a sprint towards the man. He wasn't holding a weapon, but maybe he was still practicing for that 'thing' they talked about over the SFC.

"Mitsuhide!"

Mitsuhide looked up and smiled broadly.

"Hello, Sora!"

Oh he remembered the conversation they'd had, alright. Sword dancing! In his drunken mind it seemed like a great idea, something new and artistic. In preparation he'd brought his sword along when he'd snuck out of his house; it was lying in the grass close by, ready and waiting just in case he got the urge to start. How lucky it was that Sora had come along!

"How lucky that you've come along!" he said happily.

This was definitely something Lord Motochika would not approve of. Definitely. But that didn't cross his mind for a second.

Sora slows to a jog and then finally a stop, all smiles. Sora hadn't brought any weapons of his own, but that's never really been a problem before. His weapon's sort of built in.

It's lucky Sora's come along?

"Really? What're you doin' out here all by yourself?"

"Yes! Lucky!" Mitsuhide replied. "Because it means that I get to try out what we talked about before. You know... the sword dancing."

The samurai stopped in his dance and walked over to retrieve his sword. Picking it up, he slid it out of its sheath. A masterfully made katana, it was, one that had seen him through many battles during his life. Never had it been used for purposes quite like the one he now intended.

"I've been out here dancing. I was told I had to stay indoors, but... I just wanted to get some air, get outside, do something!"
