"Hey, you do realise that you're dancing with no music, right?"

Mitsuhide smiled brightly at the newcomer. He'd never seen her before, but right now was not the time for him to ask questions.
"I do know!" he said, moving around still. "But when there is no music, one can simply step in time to your own heartbeat. They say that the drum was created originally to replicate the sounds of a heartbeat, you know."
The young samurai laughed, closing his eyes partially. It was a dreamy expression he wore as he continued to spin around, perfectly content with himself.

"Heh, is that so?" This guy looked more feminine than she did! "Hey, you foreign or something? Japanese? Look at all that hair... Oh hey!" The Simpsons had taught her this one "Kon-nee-chi-wa!"
And, in hindsight, a horrible thought hit her. What if he wasn't Japanese.

"Yes, I am Japanese," he chirped, bowing a little. "My name is Mitsuhide, a samurai of the Akechi clan! Or, well, I was, but that's alright, it doesn't matter at the moment."
The young man ran a hand through his ponytail, prompted by her mention of his hair.

"Anyway, I'm Heather Mason. Just call me Heather though, okay? And stop playing with your hair, you big girl."

He moved a hand through his hair for a few more moments before letting it loose.
"I do not see why touching my hair should make me a 'big girl,'" he said cheerfully, "but if you say so, then I will stop, Heather."
He spun around slowly, initiating his dance again.

"Of course not," he replied, smiling. "I simply... love the feel of its weight."
He may or may not have understood that she was teasing; in his state it was hard to tell. Playing along or just taking Heather literally?
