Napolean Dynamite was pretty funny...about halfway through i was thinking something along the lines of 'I don't understand the hype, i should shut it off' but i was sucked in. :P

You're going home? That's awesome. Back to Texas?

Yep, back to Texas. You wanna come visit?!

It's kind of wierd. I guess the whole realization that I will be back in the US next week hasn't just hit me. I will believe it when I am on the plane :P

Ooh, Danish prog? I had to check that out. Sounds good, even though the mp3's on their website are crappy.

If only I could find some of decent quality.

haha, well remind me when I get home and I can hook you up :) I love that band soooo much. Their lead vocalist takes some getting used too but once you do it is amazing!

I will remind you! It's nice with some new music every now and then.
I didn't have a problem with the vocal.. Maybe I'm just used to it... after crappy italian gothic metal, most singers sound normal XD

aha crappy Italian Gothic Metal!! I used to listen to this band called "Power Symphony". Ever heard of them? They are one of the worst Italian Metal Bands I have heard but for some reason I listen to them occasionally. Hum.

Have you heard the new Pain of Salvation album yet? Have you seen The Gathering's Live DVD?

Speaking of playing music, I've been thinking of trying the guitar or drums when I get back. What do you play, and how do you suggest I go about learning whatever it is I pick?

Well, I am a percussionist. My primary areas of expertise are Drum Set and Mallets. The best way to get better is by practice and repitition. Guitar is a bit easier to play in the long run and requires less maintenance etc etc. Percussion costs more but I think it is more fun myself. You can mix whatever you want to make music!

I don't mean to be annoying, but i was just wondering like what is it like being there? the news makes it sound so awful, and i get scared for my friends that have been stationed in iraq, i have no way of getting in touch with them cause i moved before i knew they were leaving. so i was wondering, if you don't mind, what it is like so i can put my worries to rest. you don't have to respond to this if you are tired of talking about it. but i just found your entries really interesting. so yeah sorry if i am intruding and you hate answering things like this. i hope that you are well and that you will arrive to your home soon. thank you.

Honestly, I am tired of talking about it now. I just got home a few days ago. Besides, everything I had to say I have said. I actually kind of liked it in Iraq. Anyways, I am just trying to re-integrate into the life I had before.

when I first replied to this I was not in the best of moods so I am sorry if it came off as being rude. I wasn't and I am still not readjusting that well but I guess it is best to talk about it. So if you want to ask me some questions feel free. I am on Yahoo at vasaforever . Once again I apologize if I sounded rude before!
