I don't mean to be annoying, but i was just wondering like what is it like being there? the news makes it sound so awful, and i get scared for my friends that have been stationed in iraq, i have no way of getting in touch with them cause i moved before i knew they were leaving. so i was wondering, if you don't mind, what it is like so i can put my worries to rest. you don't have to respond to this if you are tired of talking about it. but i just found your entries really interesting. so yeah sorry if i am intruding and you hate answering things like this. i hope that you are well and that you will arrive to your home soon. thank you.

Honestly, I am tired of talking about it now. I just got home a few days ago. Besides, everything I had to say I have said. I actually kind of liked it in Iraq. Anyways, I am just trying to re-integrate into the life I had before.

when I first replied to this I was not in the best of moods so I am sorry if it came off as being rude. I wasn't and I am still not readjusting that well but I guess it is best to talk about it. So if you want to ask me some questions feel free. I am on Yahoo at vasaforever . Once again I apologize if I sounded rude before!

Well, it's relative to where you are located and what your mission is for the most part. There is ALOT of stuff that the news doesn't talk about that is actually worse than they let you know. Granted, that is subject to where you are in Iraq. On my camp in Baghdad things generally were ok except we got hit with alot of mortars. Other areas are mortar and rocket magnets. Also, some areas of the city are red for military personnel and are basically no drive zones. I am not allowed to talk about materials and supply stuff, sorry. Overall, I wouldn't be too worried about your friends because when it comes down to it if they are going to get hurt or killed their usually is not much they can do about it. All it takes is an Improvised Explosive device and you could be dead before you know it. I would just accept that they are in a dangerous place and look forward to the time they return home.
