The city of Portland is firing police officers and refusing to police those they still have, not putting garbage cans near bus stops, and letting mentally ill people fall through the cracks of society.

For the first time in about ten days, I can take a deep breath. I also don't feel like my sinuses are going to explode.

...after I finished up the maelstrom that was our taxes. (I think I got the Federal tax down pat - $9 owed, while a three-digit refund from the state.) We had BLTs, and I ate the remainder of the tomato we used. I'm sure glad there's more where that came from!
