Queries

I'd gotten my electronic query folder down to the point where there were only maybe eight or nine e-mails left in it.  Unfortunately, over the weekend that e-folder disappeared.  I don't know if it's due to a virus or what, but if you've queried me directly and I haven't answered, please resend.  (This does not apply to the man who e-mails the ( Read more... )

My favorite part about this query fiend? I've asked him to STOP emailing me. Yesterday when I asked again, I said, "Would you please stop emailing me?" His reply:
"...soon." It sounds like a threat! Deidre

"Soon"??? So he'll one day stop querying because he realizes that =eventually= he'll learn, but he knows he hasn't learned yet, so for now he'll keep it up??

My head hurts.

Just to clarify, is submitting to your attention at the general agency submissions address considered querying directly?

Thanks,
Renee

If you sent to the general agency address and haven't heard after a month, your query was probably forwarded to me and a casualty of my query folder disappearance (hmm, sounds like there's a mystery novel in there somewhere). Please feel free to resend with a note about the reason and my invitation.

Would it be correct to assume if we haven't received a reply, that we were rejected? I don't want to resubmit if it was received, but rejected. I have no way of knowing though. I submitted just over a month ago. I didnt submit to your direct email though. I sent it address to you, but to the submissions email at knightagency.

We respond to all the e-mails we receive, so you should hear as long as it wasn't caught in a spam filter. Since it's been over a month, I'm going to guess your query was forwarded to me and is a casualty of the Mystery of the Missing Queries. Feel free to use the alternate e-mail you have for me and I'll be sure to respond (though it may not be immediate).
