Crystal is just an amazing writer, who brings forth such vivid worlds and emotional characters. I've always been awed by her world building, and this post only strengthens that. Her vast knowledge continues to wow me. Thanks for sharing this awesome information, Crystal.

Yes, I do think it's important to note that no matter how "weird" or out there a character's world and situation are, they are also people and their emotional responses will be relate-able (this is totally a word!) to your readers. Everyone understands fear, disappointment, anger, heart-break, so that part of your characters (no matter how foreign their circumstances) will make them sympathetic.

P.S. I love that you write weird, Rowan! It's good stuff.
