Self-Defeating Attitudes

If you were to ask me the biggest difference between those who make it in this business and those who don’t, I’d say that it’s the ability to listen.  I can’t always tell those who are going to succeed, but I can always see within a sentence or two those who will certainly fail…the people who want you to hear them but not vice versa.  Those who don ( Read more... )

I have, on occasion, heard a little voice in my head saying 'they don't get it!'... it's immediately smacked down by another little voice saying 'that's because you didn't explain it very well. Your fault.'

I know I always want to go back and tweak my (as yet unpublished) novel. Though when I first read "Camera Ready" I thought of it as "Would make a great movie!" before I read further. Thought I was in major trouble on that one. :)
