The puppy just ate his first Barbie.  Daughter was not amused.  Matters were made worse by the fact that she's sick with 104.1 fever today and understandably miserable.  She was even less amused when my husband suggested that we could give the Barbie wooden pirate legs to replace the chewed off ones.

"This is not the time for jokes, Daddy!"

Awesome! I was always pulling off the head and/or hair of Barbies, but it never occurred to me to remove their legs. Pirate Barbie! Yarrr!

Will Barbie declare vengeance upon the puppy? The dog's name isn't Moby Dick, is it?

I did have to have a little conversation with daughter about revenge though. She was looking at the dog with little hatred filled eyes. I guess puppies are cute until they eat your toys. Then the gloves come off.

Daughter has already taken care of that.

"She has fairy wings mommy, so she doesn't really *need* legs, right?"

It's really hard not to laugh when she says things like that.

Between the silicon glue scare with the dog and the constant torn up plushie battles with the cats, I'm just convinced we can no longer have nice things.
