Well, I stole this meme a long time ago, and it's just been sitting on my computer, waiting for me to choose the ten pairings to fill it and to be bothered to post it.

So, without the thousand-word rambling I could post here, I'll get right on with the meme :)

as for Chrismas fics... you could always do something in between the two - 12 days of Christmas, 12 requests. That way you have a finite number, but people have the freedom to pick what they want too.

Alright then. I'm going to go with #4, playing checkers.

And honestly, if you're toying with some sort of fic gifts, you can always make it relatively flexible. I was really on the day with mine last year (and then I was burnt out). I'm a lot more relaxed with it last year. If you're worried it's gong to be too much, just add the caveat that some of the fic might be late, and then it's fine. At least, that's what I'm doing.

It's also enough of a deadline that it's harder to blow it off entirely. I do better with deadlines when I'm writing prompts sometimes.
