My friend is here now and she said that the higher up BOE guy told her he tried to reply but couldn't. I wonder if my work email address is blocking it as spam. She has promised to take it back with her and hand deliver it to the BOE though so I'm super lucky she came for a visit at just the right time.

I would call if I were you just to make sure that they got it. I know when I left I asked for a letter with proof of my teaching because I was planning on temping when I first got home and I knew the temp agency wouldn't send me out on jobs if they couldn't verify my work history. Speaking of that, have you thought of temping? I found my first job that way after I came home from France. It was an entry level position but by the time I left for Japan I had one promotion and could have had another. Good company and I would have stayed except that I really wanted to get my US teaching certification.
