Can you clarify 'animal'? I mean, I can think of plenty of characters that aren't human, but I don't know if you would count as animals.

Usually my working definition of playable characters is 'able to use a spoken/signed/telepathic language, human-level intelligence or greater, and ability to manipulate objects via a hand or equivalent', though I've played characters that lack that last one. (An original character, though, and several Digimon that lacked hands.)

But, depending on how I read 'animal', it could mean 'anything non-humanoid'.

That is....a difficult question and the other mods and I are discussing it. For further information about helping us make a decision, what character were you asking about in regard to that rule?

I was still thinking about what I wanted to play, so it's no hurry. Just wanted to know my limits.

For the shopping center are there any places in which you can buy food to cook or can you only buy already cooked food?

Yes. Any type of store imaginable is in the shopping center. Like the library, it is bigger inside than it looks from the outside do to the islands habit of manipulating space.

Ah, ok, thanks. (: Ah, another question regarding the last; do the stores have someone in charge already or are they just vacant?

Some of them have NPCs in charge and some of them don't. We'll have an NPC list shortly and we'll decide which stores and such they're in charge of. But for the most part they're vacant.

Will characters find clothes in their closets and food/cooking supplies stocked in the kitchens, or will they have to find a way to pay for them at the stores?

Most of the apartments are stocked with essential food items. Eggs, bread, milk, rice and various meats. For anything more in depth, you'll have to go shopping.

As for clothes, characters are not supplied with them and will have to shop.

You don't have to pay for anything, though. There is currently no money system on the island.

Hello! came across your RP at random and I must say I am eager to join up. Unfortunately my specialty is OCs, so I'll just be watching for the time being. But a quick question though:

The app has a section called "Unscreened". I haven't come across this. What is this exactly?

thank you in advance, and later!

The unscreened section is asking whether you want people to be able to see your application or keep it hidden.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask, and if you decide to join us feel free!

that is interesting.

But the rules say no OCs. I'm terrible with Fandom characters, so I'll just watch until OCs are allowed.

And here's another! littlemsodd July 17 2010, 06:40:07 UTC
Is soul Caliber IV okay?

If so, what of the custom characters that a person can make?

(Also: Shaun Hastings, ftw! XD)

Soul Caliber is perfectly acceptable.

Characters are required to have a backstory/history from the series.

If there is a character from the series that you want to use, it must be a cannon character. They must have a specific role form the series that is unalterable and you must be able to write it out.

A custom character from a video game would be pretty much the same as an OC depending on how customizable they are.
