Covenant -- Brunch (Ensemble)

This is a classic case of "One thing leads to another". The original prompt was The Covenant, Caleb/Chase, Chase didn’t use at the pool . Which I filled. And did a follow up for. And got a request for more...so here it is:

So glad you enjoyed it. I've had a good time writing the saner version of Chase and tweaking his backstory. The others were fun, too.

Oh, this is amazing! I love that he's a little insecure about his reception (and right to be), and that he's got such a good read on the four. Love that he's stepping up as the 'older brother', sorta, and that he's making the younger kids eat their vitamins. Hahah. I got a good laugh at that conversation!

You've got a good hand with dialogue, which I always envy. *claps*

Love where this is going!!!

Thanks so much! I went back and watched it again for background details, and I was struck by something Chase said during the confrontation with Caleb in Sarah's room, to the effect that "You don't know what it was like, growing up and not knowing what's happening to you" and to me, that was a big key to getting Chase.

Dialogue comes easily for me and I can do action pretty well, but I always feel wistful when I read other people doing meticulous, picturesque description. I can work in enough detail to set the stage, but poetic I'm not.

I've got ideas for the boys after graduation, but meanwhile, I'm plotting some drama for TJ Hammond....

Thanks. I don't suppose you're familiar with the book "Harvest Home" by Thomas Tryon? Add a crossover with that to the list of Shit I Wish I Had Time To Write. I love the idea of Chase in peril being rescued by his bros!

No, I've never heard of that but Chase being rescued by the boys sounds like a lot of fun.
