A little good news

May 19, 2013 14:09

The dates aren't set yet, but it looks like I'll be house-sitting for the C's in July. Hooray! Whole-house a/c and just *one* self-sufficient feline (and the Rosenweasel). There are other benefits, but those are the biggies.

Yay! for A/C in July! And what, may I ask, is a Rosenweasel? :D

Given name Rosie, the Rosenweasel is what you get when you cross a Jack Russell terrier with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, namely a smallish, spotted dog with silky "feathers". Also known as Rosie-Lou Who. (Look at her feet. Very Dr Seuss!)

What amazing feet! She really does looks like a Dr. Seuss dog. :D

We suspect that the unknown breed that made our Rosie long-legged was CKC Spaniel. She has feathered feet, though nothing like that, and the most amazing fluffy ears and tail. The feathers on her ears grow only on the back half, so it's possible for me to put them up into ponytails. :D Rosie does not appreciate that.

I can well imagine! This one had an ear infection during one of my soujourns there, and I got to administer ear drops three times a day for two weeks---wasn't THAT fun?! Not, she would tell you. But, like syringe-feeding the kittens, I developed a knack.

Ha, I knew about him before FB---they called me to ask if I'd mind looking after two digs even before they went to get him. I don't mind a bit, although today I found out he isn't housebroken. I'm hoping he's a quick learner!
