I'm sane this week, which I really appreciate after last week's hysteria. I usually don't think of myself as a special snowflake, but every once in a while, I come unglued, and it isn't pretty

171 is a damn nice number! I'd love to see it when I get weighed. Unfortunately the water pills have mostly stopped working, and I'm stuck at just over 300...which sucks, when you consider I was losing over 8 pounds a week!
I'm also VERY pleased that you still have lights et al. If I was in Fl., I'd SO be there to help out with the tidying etc. On a less practical note, I am sending positive vibes into the Universe for you. *hugs*
Hahahahahaha! That was either a very Freudian typo or a complete break with reality! I have edited it to the correct number, which is 272.6---the last time my weight began with a "one" was in the latter days of Richard Nixon's Presidency.
I'd like to begin 2013 in the 260s, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't, either. Heck, I spent long enough on the shady side of 300 myself, I'm still happy to be "two"-anything!
Yes, lights/power is a Very Good thing. Now I have to scramble to try and get a jump on nthis month's bills, since all I really expect from Santa is a few cards and some chocolate chip cookies. (And probably a box of clothes and goodies from GK, but not cash.)
I know, I spent years going, "I just want to get under 300!". And for a while, I was convinced it wasn't ever going to happen, that I was going to be stuck in the 340s <>forever. Oddly, losing my medical billing job helped with that, since I wasn't living on takeout meals five lunches a week!
Good luck with whatever it is, I'd love to see one of my friends having some GOOD luck for a change!
You take good care of yourself, honey. Crazy plus Commute From Hell is NOT a fun combination.
I'm trying to work with what I have, both in terms of how much energy I've got, which is more than it was a couple months ago, lemme tell ya!---and trying to determine how much of it is worth trying to sell, and how much I might as well donate or trash outright.
I'm hoping to get it excavated enough to get a roommate to subsidize the bills, and to do that, I need to clear out at least one bedroom and get a bed and dresser in there. Which means making room elsewhere in the house for the stuff that's displaced. And getting the general part of the house to look civilized. We'll see....
Excellent plans all around, darling. *hugs* Maybe you can get things whipped into shape before really cold weather hits.
The Commute from Hell is not too bad in the mornings, but in the late afternoons everyone on I-75 seems to drive like they just spilled a beaker of acid in their lap.
