We are going to have a quiet, at-home Thanksgiving. Our sis-in-law is disappointed that we're not coming to her house, but it's a four-hour drive round trip and we're just really tired and want to stay home. I got a duck to roast (my guys love duck) and we'll have other festive side dishes that won't make me crazy cooking them. :)

Yeah, I think I'd want to spend my first holidays in a new house at home, too.
Before I got the turkey breast, I was thinking of getting some ground turkey and making a strata-type casserole: stuffing on the bottom, a layer of sauteed turkey and topped with a layer of mashed potatoes. Serve atop a puddle of gravy, garnished with a slice of jellied cranberry sauce. I may attempt it for Christmas; I certainly have enough sides.
Blessed be!
