Today warmed up nicely, and Red and I have made plans for Saturday---I'm meeting her at the Rave theaters at 1:20 and we're going to see Sherlock Holmes! Woohoo! I just hope she isn't serious about sitting in the back row ( Read more... )

That is such a cool idea about using the Coke Points.

If I get off work tomorrow with half a brain left, I'm going to make some gingerbread cookies. Regarding the "half a brain" thing, today somebody at St. P's left me a cute little gift basket with some silver-painted pine cones turning into ornaments and what I thought was a big slab of vanilla fudge. Good thing I turned it over and found the label instead of following my first impulse to rip off the plastic wrap and take a big bite: it was homemade vanilla soap!

The Coke points was one of those "Necessity is a mother" ideas. I didn't really want to give out stuff with their logo, and I was looking to see what else they had, and their selection of 'zines is pretty good.

Soap?! Oh no! It's a really good thing you caught that, because if it smelled all vanilla and yummy---! I can imagine myself doing the same thing! Yuck!

I'd sort of looked through the basket when I got to work and a few hours later, while teetering close to an episode of hair-tearing, I thought, "But wait, there's fudge!" Oh, the disappointment, which would have been much, much worse if I'd actually eaten the stuff.

I'm not sure I'll be able to shower with it because it'll make me hungry to smell it. :D

Not guilty. That's NOT a title Coke Rewards offers. 'Bout the closest thing they've got would be Entertainment Weekly.
