Augh.

I just downloaded iTunes for a variety of reasons, mostly because I'm told I have to have it when I get an iPhone. And it took 20+ minutes just to install. And then it took about 5 minutes to get it to do what would have taken me about 30 seconds to do with winamp. =_=; So, so far, I hate it. And it's slow and not intuitive at all, lolz and ( Read more... )

I think Apple must just hate the Windows version or something... the new version only took a minute or so to install on my Mac (it could be because it had to install Quicktime, Bonjour and all that for you though, come to think of it). Really hating it so far, if only because they've messed with what the green button does; no more easy switching to the miniplayer. :(

hehehehehe @ video though. :D

Well, I told it not to install Quicktime, etc. It just took forever processing through all my music and things. But it did seem excessively long anyway.

I've only barely figured out how to get any of it to work. But I downloaded a program that lets me minimize it to the tray instead of the task bar, so that's nice. (I dunno if it's different for a Mac.)

Also, hi! Have we met? XD

Ah, the updating library bit... yeah, that can take a while.

Also, hi! Have we met? XD

Guess this is my first comment on your LJ then. Hi. ^^;

(I'm a fan from y!Gallery BTW)

And if you have commented to me before, I hadn't noticed. Hello! I'm embarrassed now. I don't think anyone has ever followed me over from Y!gallery before.

I really like what you did with the age meme, not just showing the character (and the dog both young and old) but writing about each stage.

Who is the "Mary Foster" character? She looks interesting with her long nose. Is she from the 50s?

Aww, thank you. :D Yeah, I felt each stage needed a little explanation or else you'd be like, "What's with the beret? Why is there a paint bucket at his feet?" etc.

As for the Mary Foster, yeah, she's from the 1950s. Not much to say about her long nose, that's just how she looks! XD Kind of going for a handsome woman than a beautiful one...

And that's so much more interesting! I like long noses anyway. They have character. :-)

Excellent icon. XD It's actually babel's character and she has a thing for noses too. She's supposed to be attractive, but in a less conventional way. I like to think I pulled it off. XD

iTunes is a bit of a bitch when it comes to installation and updates (if you don't get the updates straight away it starts plotting against you) but not much could be more intuitive to music playing than Genius? You need itunes because eventually everyone will give into the mighty Apple, mwahaha.

Genius scares the pants off me. What good is it? I mean, I don't WANT music recommendations. Does it do anything else? And... I don't have an Apple or AOL account and the "Get an itunes account" is asking me for a credit card. What if I don't have one? I do... but what if I don't?

Ohh no, not the sidebar, the bit that makes playlists for you. I've had the sidebar hidden since they first brought it out. & if you don't have a credit card then you're evicted from the internet.

... so then what does Genius do?

It may be cold comfort, but I believe the more recent versions of iTunes are worse than the previous ones for this sort of thing. (I uploaded a now old-and-busted version of the software to a banged-up old XP PC and it hasn't given me an ounce of trouble; someone I know with a Vista PC and the new hotness from iTunes has had no end of difficulties.)

I really like your "original character" drawing, Pie. Super creative and I found his story really interesting! If you ever write a story about him or do more artwork, I certainly want to see it. :)
