Yay for House figuring it out and telling Thomas off, someone needs to.

Hmm - I'm thinking the tennis has something to do with his illness - no idea what though! Maybe he's been teaching tennis to the people in homeless shelters and somehow that made him sick :)

The scene with Wilson and Cuddy was good - not sure how she's going to take it when House and Wilson get together...

Looking forward to the conclusion !

Nah, teh tennis thing was just a reference to how much Wilson has affected him. It was mentioned (I think) somewhere that Wilson was on a tennis team sometime in his past.

I'm glad you liked the scene between Wilson and Cuddy. I didn't want there to be any bad blood between them, and sometimes in fics Cuddy, you know, becomes like Wilson's most hated enemy.

I hope the conclusion is good, and I'm glad you liked House telling Thomas off.

Thank you for reviewing!

Yes, the tennis thing came up when House forced Taub to admit he was playing raquetball with Wilson.

Wow. You have no idea how many moments of recognition I had reading this. When I was growing up, some of my friends' fathers were gay, but they had to "do the right thing," marry and have kids, and the result was always misery. I remember one friend confided her father was homosexual, and I thought that was the most disgusting thing ever. He was an alcoholic; later he sobered up, divorced, and moved in with a man he had fallen in love with in the Navy SEALS ( ... )

Perhaps I misread your comment, but why is her father being gay disgusting? Unless you were talking about the fact he felt he HAD to conform to society was disgusting, not him personally. Or perhaps you used to be bigoted but are no longer against gays . . . I assume since you are reading slash ( ... )

My homophobia was because of the times and my extreme youth. I knew homosexuals existed--I was surrounded by them at the college. But the idea that one of my friend's dads could be gay was unbelievable. This was a VERY different time in society, bear in mind. Homosexuals were coming out, but married homosexuals stayed deep in the closet. Some still do, as you know.

Actually, homophobia is the wrong word, because people being gay didn't bother me in the least. But at the time you were either gay or straight, no gray areas. Especially when you're a kid.

That's part of why I support gay marriage and gay people adopting children. One of the tragedies of my generation is seeing what happened to those whose parents couldn't reveal their sexuality in the open. And to think that still goes on today is very sad.

They can’t spell oncology right. --Great line!

Lots of good stuff in this chapter. Cuddy's conversation with Wilson was very realistic and mature. Nathaniel's reveal about the medical magazines was subtle, as was House uttering, "Daniel" to show everything had clicked into place for him.

Well, unless Wilson and Thomas both wanted to be oncolgists. I assume that is a doctor who specializes in being on-call. I don't think the writers will ever live that down.

I'm glad you liked the discussion with Cuddy because I didn't want people to think there would be bad blood between them or drama at work.

I've always loved how House has epiphanies. They intrigue me.

Weird. I commented on this earlier, but it looks like the comment didn't go through.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next chapter. House and Wilson are due to have a very interesting conversation. Can't wait!!

I hate it when that happens--when the comments don't take. It's weird.

Anyway, I hope the next (and final) chapter pleases you!

Thank you for reviewing.
