The break-up was very nicely done. I feel a bit sorry for Cuddy, she gave up Lucas for this - though I guess if she gave him up that easily there couldn't have been much there to start with (: I wonder what the baby-sitter and Rachel are going to think of this.

Continue to be intrigued by the POTW, I don't think his puzzle is solved just yet. I like how House's interactions with him have resonances into House's own life.

I agree--if she left an engagement, she must not have cared that much for him . . . which makes me sad because I really liked Lucas.

As for the PotW, I really can't tell you if he has cancer or something else . . . but I'm glad the medical bit intrigues you! (But here's a hint--it's not lupus.)

The patient has always been a parallel and it's really great of you to not only see that in personality, but in treating the possible illness as well.

I've always thought that there were some rather large similarities between Cameron and Cuddy too--only seeing the parts they choose to and try to make those parts the entire whole of him.

There's only so much flirting one can do before he must accept that there is something behind it . . . or has he known all along and just represses it?

Loved, loved LOVED the Monet analogy. Very true to the character and the dynamic between them.

House's breaking point has always been his professional/intellectual abilities. Once Cuddy's expectations started getting in the way of his ability to do his job, his way, there was no going back.

Really looking forward to where you take it from here.

I've always liked how House uses metaphors in the show--it makes it easier to understand things that we might not have understood (most of us not being doctors) and also, getting something emotional out there without . . . having to be emotional.

I do think that Cuddy will, eventually, use their relationship to try and . . . change how he is at work, and I do think that will be one of their breaking points. Becasue he stopped taking methadone when he felt it interferred--he chose pain because he felt it compromised his mind.

It's good to see House dealing with reality, no matter how painful. It's good to see him refuse to compromise the things that really matter to him, too.

Hopefully we get to see more of Wilson and Sam's relationship soon.

House has never really been good on middle ground so he couldn't have compromised for long . . . and he is a reality junkie. Glad you liked that portion.

God, I love this story. And like others, I loved the Monet metaphor. That for a moment she saw a side of him and fell in love with that side, ignoring the rest of him. I get the feeling she's not so much trying to make him over, but that she feels (like Cameron) that enough love and pushiness will make him conform more, and therefore, in her mind, be happier. That she can somehow heal him. She is mistaking his individualism with unhappiness.

Loved Foreman's POV, and the scene with Taub. This really does feel like an episode! Only better.

Even if she is trying to make him over, I honestly beleive she thinks he wants it or that it'll genuinely make him happy . . . she doesn't want to see that it's actually making the both of them stressed and miserable. She's not a bad guy . . . she's just in the wrong.

I love how House uses metaphors so much in the show, because it makes it easier to understand emotions and even medical things.

I'm so glad you liked Foreman's POV! Sometimes, I think Foreman kinda gets ignored in fanfic.
